Not totally related but I hope WN adds CLT-ATL. Purely to add better connectivity to Florida.

Key takeaways here are less int'l from LAX, and decreasing long-thin routes Should be interesting to watch, especially SEA-PVG CLT down to 3 int'l routes it looks like http://news.aa.com/news/news-details/2020/American-Airlines-Resets-International-Network-for-Remainder-of-2020-Through-Summer-2021-...

How is this crazy, it's been a 777-200 route Were you not at all surprised that RDU would see the 773 before CLT, PHL, or even BOS? I was. 30-plus seat capacity upgrade plus the addition of First Class on any route these days is a surprise. I get it, retiring the A330 means that AA has to do some f...

All the first tier cities are already operational or soon will be (may be as soon as June) which includes New York, Boston, Washington, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, DFW, Houston, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Seattle. Others are second tier, might take longer to restart. (Aus, Phx, Den, ...

CLT has a fortress hub and rdu does not. Regardless, neither will see Asia service.

A332s in long term storage until 2022 at the earliest if they do return.. We don't know enough yet to infer that reliably. Is PHL going to be seeing 787s and 777s now? IF the 332s get retired, PHL TATL routes will see 777s, 787s, A321XLRs, or route terminations. IMHO, 2021 is going to have a lot of...

FLL: DL and NK are currently the only carriers operating this route, and WN will join the party this January WN has flown MSP-FLL in the past. It's a winter seasonal Saturday flight that primarily caters to cruise traffic. Fares are usually pretty good on it though. Last year I flew that r/t to go ...

4 new gates for AA - A2, A4, A6 and A8 opened today, announced on CLTs twitter and Facebook page. Also, the new E/D food court opens Friday. I thought AA was also getting 3 more gates on A for a total of 7 so maybe those are opening later Nope, it appears Delta is using the remaining A gates. Conco...

Re: Possible Rumor: B6 ending CLT-JFK

I don't really understand B6's existence in CLT. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see them drop CLT service period. CLT-JFK is profitable for B6, but the slots used for CLT-JFK would simply be more profitable utilized on another flight. I wouldn't be surprised to see B6 slowly shift away from sh...

Re: Spirit Airlines to increase Las Vegas capacity nearly 50% over two years

In addition, NK adding LAS-CLT, LAS-PHX, and LAS-RDU nonstop service will probably happen as CLT, PHX, and RDU are three of the largest markets currently served by NK that don't currently have nonstop service to LAS on NK. Are you thinking that capacity by competitors is irrelevant? PHX-LAS sees 5x...

They appear to be, at least through June.

Volaris has bookable CLT-GDL flights through the 1Q of 2020.

Wasn't there some TWA contract that isn't allowing them to return? Though the bindings is a big rumor for leaving the TLV market, AA stated that it was too expensive of a route. They claimed that at any given time they needed to aircraft on the route, and they could better utilize equipment in othe...

Lets just call a spade for what it is. AA is trolling B6 as usual, they did the same in CLT with NK. They have the money to waste for now but when the fuel goes up they’ll be crying... NK adding CLT is a way bigger threat than this add by B6 imo. Especially with how much AA has been downsizing in J...

Solid numbers from CLT, as per usual. I expect the numbers flights to grow into the 720s by summer 2020. AA will be getting 7 additional gates in early 2020 to help this cause.

Thanks for putting this together.

#1 5/23 has been used as a taxiway for quite awhile now. It went out of commission earlier this year for Departures/arrivals. It has since been reopened for such operation not to long ago. CLT only lands and takes planes off runway 5/23 during the noise abatement hours. #2 AA has a daily 10-1045pm b...

When NK leaves, so will the DL flights. Same song with B6 in ATL the first time they came to town. It's silly to have a pissing contest like this, everyone loses money that way. I agree.
