Yet again some serious stand problems today. Around half an hour ago there were 5 737s on the taxiway waiting for stands.

A number of widebodies spent a lot of time in a similar position, UA36 being the worst at almost 40 minutes from landing to arriving on stand.

The stand issues are back again, UA161 today landed at 1246 and didn't arrive on stand until 1310. QR29 landed a few minutes later and has been dumped on taxiway M still awaiting a stand. Some landing aircraft were forced to backtrack while the taxiway was blocked by United and Qatar.

I don't see much padding on a route like Dublin Faro which at cruise speed would be reached in about 2h12 according to GCMap. the time published is 2h50m. Not sure - routes have been cut across the network but EDI hit especially hard. Perhaps shuffling to reallocate aircraft to the new Bristol base?

A direct JFK-LCY operated for many years. It was only the outbound sector that required the tech stop. Techincally the LCY-JFK route was also direct, but not non-stop.

That may be true but your argument is still invalid. You are implying that because the average age of a E145 pilots is lower it is therefore more likely to have a poor safety record.

I would. EDI and PRG are mostly leisure markets from PHL. EDI has been operating on the 757, its unlikely that it could support a 787.

It turned out that the only-787 to Europe flying was for PHL exclusively, so it was just partial news from JonNYC. The 777s will still be used from DFW, MIA, LAX and JFK to LHR and Europe. S20 has always been available at 6x weekly peak. While it was launched daily, it was originally YYZ-YHZ-GLA. As of last summer it is now just YHZ-GLA. GLA has been served much longer and is also just 4 weekly, on Mon/Wed/Thu/Fri and DUB is 6 weekly on YHZ too, so hardly an abnormally low frequency.
