While I think It's great that they are (finally) rebuilding Concourse B, I fear these gates will be underutilized. If I'm not mistaken, aren't there unused gates in Concourse C currently? In the morning hours every gate does get used at least once. That's not a very high standard of gate utilizatio...

In the old master plan the new concourse would start with 6 gates but eventually could be expanded to 13 gates.

There are a few more routes that could be added by WN at JAX such as JAX-CMH, JAX-IND, JAX-MCI, JAX-LAX, JAX-STL, and JAX-DCA. WN could also increase JAX-MDW and JAX-HOU to at least 2 daily nonstops. NK could also add nonstop service to JAX from ATL, DFW, IAH, LAS, and LAX. What is the current JAX ...

Making some predictions for JAX in 2019, feel free to add your own.
1) JAX finally gets a west coast nonstop, my guess is UA SFO or DL LAX on an A220.
2) Nonstop to MSY, I'm thinking NK or WN
3) San Juan comes back on a low cost carrier.

Took a look at 2/15/19 and found B6 with 3X JAX-FLL on E190's, WN 3X on 737s, and NK 1X on an A319. That's almost 900 JAX-FLL seats a day so you're probably right.

3M left JAX this month ending TPA & MHH service.
WN shows 3x daily JAX-FLL through the end of their schedule in June.
