Can't believe that no one has posted this update from Reuters. So much for 1700 posts of theory and fantasy. So an idiot who doesn't have a drives license knows about piloting. I think he just finds himself so wonderful and so smart. Another person who needs to shut their mouth and let the pros do their work.

Re: Ethiopian Airlines 737MAX crashes enroute to Nairobi

The threads are disturbing at best. There seams to be a race to be the first one right. If you look at what facts we have so far, it is not clear what happened. The FDR and Voice info will tell if the problem was the same. We will know that within days. Voice will tell what the crew was reacting to ...

I have flown both the front of the B787 and the A359. All I can say is this is a ridiculous argument. Both aircraft are truly wonderful and if anyone says one is quieter than the other then they are full of it. Ask them to bet thier life savings the one is quieter than the other and they’ll back off...

Re: Airbus Cuts Production Plans for A330 Jet

I just flew HEL-ICN r/t on a Finnair A350. Great airplane, if I never see another A330 (any model) and get A350's instead I will be a happy camper. From a PAX perspective both the B787 and the A350 make the A330 feel like an A300 after the B777 came out. As I have said a thousand times kill the A330...

ROFL. Any upgrades to an older bird that has already been upgraded umpteem times is like comparing my 2008 Volvo to a brand new 2017 Volvo. Your ironically kinda right. ROFL. Any upgrades to an older bird that has already been upgraded umpteem times is like comparing my 2008 Volvo to a brand new 2017 Volvo. I am laughing at Leahy's comment on 240 seats on a narrowbody. How many airlines are lining up for this really bad option for the consumer. When I worked for AA they had a program of NO involuntary bumps. So how did they manage this. They simply upped the compensation until someone got off. AA paid a family of four $16,000 to deplane. UA would have been wise to keep upping the the award. $10,000 in travel vouchures would have done it.

According to MWAA's most recent budget, the 2017 CPE at IAD for signatory airlines will be $18.97. At DCA, it's $14.12. In recent years, UA has repeatedly expressed concern about the high CPE at IAD. At hub airports, the CPE metric is particularly pertinent as the higher the figure goes, the less incentive there is to bring a connecting passenger through the facility. At some point, the airlines need to recover their costs, and the only way to do that is via higher fares. Hence, why IAD is know...
