Re: Package of new/used A380's pitched to BA was uncompetitive: Cruz

Interior mod prices for the A380 are being exagerated. It should be the same pro rata as any other airliner, airlines have just been using this as an excuse. The fact is that BA is doing fine for now, but they are setup for a dwindling future. LHR will progressively lose relevance as other London a...

New routes if Heathrow got 25000 extra flights?

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc. ... n-46794108

If Heathrow was to be granted an extra 25000 flights per year (about 34 slot pairs per day), which airlines would receive them and where would they be used to fly?

BA LHR -> Grand Cayman via Nassau

Why does British Airways fly it’s Grand Cayman via Nassau route front London-Heathrow and not London-Gatwick like all of it’s other Carribean routes? Is there an especially strong business case or significant transfer traffic? Another odd one is why do they fly to the Seychelles from London-Heathrow...

Wasn't Vilnius-LCY daily? Maybe Prague would make sense as the next destination?

Nope, will be flown 12x weekly- twice on weekdays and once on weekend days- it is however a PSO service.

Prague is a possibility but is currently served by BA daily.

Re: LOT News Thread - 2019

With their significant growth at London-City- Warsaw 2x daily, Budpapest 2x daily and Vilnius 2x daily- could anyone see LOT possibly start a London-City-Krakow service or to any other Polish or Eastern European cities?

As has already been discussed on here it was recently announced thar Wizz Air is expected to become Luton Airport’s largest carrier in terms of seat capacity by summer 2019, however how much further can this expansion go with Luton restricted by aircraft parking stands? What routes do people think W...

Just noticed that Emirates is currently flying 8 weekly London-Stansted -> Dubai- with 2 Flights on a Friday at 14:00 and 20:15, when was this announced? Does this mean the routes doing well enough for emirates to consider twice daily? Also any opinions of the likelihood of Qatar or Turkish trying o...

Re: Future London to Africa routes...

LHR probably could not accommodate all of those routes, nor do all those airlines have cash sufficient to obtain the slots (I'd go as far as saying only TAAG and possibly Namibia have deep enough pockets, and the latter only barely) I personally don't see SW at LHR. They did do LGW for a while (usu...
