That's got to be one of the dumbest comments on A.net today. Pretty sure their airplanes can handle a little bit of snow and ice.

From the OAG thread: **UA ELM-IAD JAN 2>0.3 FEB 2>0 MAR 2>0[0.1] APR 2>0 MAY 2>0 JUN 2>0 JUL 2>0 AUG 2>0 Looks like UA is ending ELM-IAD service UA has tried three different routes from ELM with no success. I doubt we will see them back there again. It is good news for ITH as t...Jump to post
UA did DEN directly for a little while, at least in the summer. As for NK, they have a pretty large operation in BWI as well and I think there are bigger fish to fry than competing with Allegiant and Frontier on leisure routes. UA has never had nonstop service from MDT-DEN. So then it’s F9 that has...Jump to post
I would expect to see UA serve IAH & DEN someday, and perhaps AA to MIA, but I don’t see WN going into MDT. They have 250 daily departures about 75min south @ BWI. And enough leakage is already going to BWI so no real incentive to add MDT. There aren’t many more opportunities for incumbent carr...Jump to post
A quick check of up close seat maps shows that the front cabin sells very well. Filling the back end looks hit or miss. I suspect ELM-DTW would be 3xCRJ at best if Corning didn't fill the front seats so consistently. ELM would be just like ITH and BGM if it weren't for Corning. You'd think ITH woul...Jump to post
Thanks to a wonderful contract with Corning. I'm going to guess that UA couldn't compete with DL on the terms of the contract and Corning pulled whatever they had with UA and they said the heck with it and decided to leave. Makes you wonder what ELM would look like without that Corning contract? I ...Jump to post
DL flies up to 5x weekday to DTW on CR9s from ELM. They have increased their flights and capacity into ELM over the past several years. This route was upgraded several years ago from CR2s to CR7s, and now CR9s and due to the demand for business travel and connections onto J cabin international traf...Jump to post

On the service side I wouldn't be surprised if AA moved one of their 2 BOS-ROC flights to ITH.

I feel really sorry for ET. Hope this crash won’t tarnish their brand as they have worked really hard to build it up the past few years. I'm positive that ET is not at fault here. Could we please just debate the topic without making things personal nor making outlandish statements such as grounding the worldwide fleet or its definitely not the airlines fault without having evidence to back that up. I had a look at Southern's site, PIT-MTD flights appear as early as tomorrow, even though they can't be booked. In fact, none of the flights are bookable. I guess Southern is still tweaking things? Profitable 19-seat aircraft are needed again. Air Canada seems to do all right with theirs. Remember Mall Airways? Small props from around the state to Albany in the 1980's. They also operated Rochester's only (as far as I know) route to YUL, I think in 1985. Jim I remember Mall flying Navajos and ...Jump to post
If they do DTW-ORH, they'll also do ATL-ORH. That's just how it works folks. So that must be why DL’s flying 717 from ITH, ELM, etc. to ATL. Oh, and I read on a.net last week that DL informed ELM that in 2020, the 717 is being replaced with the A220. ITH has never had 717 or any other service to AT...Jump to post

How do these two airlines allow that to happen? Disgraceful.
With BUF, SYR, and ALB now all either active or announced for F9, any chance we see ROC on the horizon for them? At this point, I don't see why not. NK probably won't do it. F9 has a good chance at ROC. I'd even throw it out there and say they could add ELM-MCO/DEN too. ELM-DEN...seriously? ELM-ORD...Jump to post

As I recall ITH has been a really dead market with perhaps 20% of the local market using ITH, and 80% of the market driving to other airports. So to me it stands to reason that daily CLT flights should work. This is a similar situation to the COU market in Missouri. Used to be basically unserved, b...Jump to post
