C17 flying around MAN

Dear All,

I was enjoying the sunshine this afternoon in my garden when I saw a C17 flying over and looking like it was heading for a short final on the 05's at MAN around 16.30 today.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Thank you.

LHR early arrivals

Hi Everyone, I was watching my niece's flight come into LHR just before 6.00 this morning. It joined quite a number of arrivals in one of the stacks. Arrivals started to leave the stacks at 6.00 and used both the 27'S to land. Why did QF9 come straight in at around 5.50? Is it to do with fuel? Sorry...

Is it not possible to lift the restrictions on night time flights at LHR? It's odd how most of the other main airports in the UK have 24 hr operations. This would improve capacity quite significantly.
