Re: Wizz Air News and Discussion Thread

Wizz are starting routes from Kiev and Lviv to Pardubice in the Czech Republic. I'm guessing that PED is considerably cheaper than PRG in terms of fees, which might explain Wizz's choice, but it still seems a bit of a surprise for route choice. The only thing I can guess is to make life difficult f...

Re: Wizz Air News and Discussion Thread

Great to see them expanding like crazy! They clearly seem to regard the crisis as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gain market shares... tomorrow there will be a press conference in Dortmund, presumably to announce another base.

Re: Turkish Aviation March 2020

Correct, for example someone could not fly FRA-ATH-IST, but the question remains how are they going to check this at all?!? I presume all itineraries from the affected countries via Istanbul will be cancelled. My wife and I are booked on DUS-IST-MRU flights and have just received a notification of ...

So if airlines are not allowed to carry passengers who have been in those countries for the past 14 days then it means other airlines flying into IST will have to cancel their tickets as well. Ouch. According to the link below, Wizz Air will cut selected frequencies from London Luton and additionally suspend six routes (Turku, Verona, Bari, Catania, Tallinn and Ljubljana). At this point it's still unclear whether some of those routes might be resumed next summer. https://www.pasazer.com/news/42...

Which potential routes do you see for W6 in Vienna?
