Re: Airports that can be accessed on foot vs airports that can only be accessed by car / train

Many airports in Spain you cannot walk to, or only on dirt roads. ACE, LPA and TFS are such examples. ACE has no footpath off the airport. TFS is in the middle of nowhere, access by car only. From LPA you can walk to Ojos de Garza if you know the way, but it is not a clear footpath. CDT is in the mi...

WAW is very near Warsaw center. Much closer than WMI which is further out. Can't believe they're planning a new WAW airport somewhere in between Warsaw and Lodz that'll be even further away from Warsaw than WMI that is set to replace the old WAW.

Freight is limited and even with the current aircraft they're often flying with the cargo hold half empty. There is no more freight.

BKK/DMK - HKG has 10 (including 2 temporary suspended).

CX, MS, EK, ET, UO, HX, RJ, FD, TG, WE

ET and RJ have suspended BKK-HKG due to the Corona virus, but normally operate it.

Since BKK and DMK both serve Bangkok they are both included in the search.

For a friend I'm trying to find a cheap HNL - Mainland USA flight somewhere around October, but none can be found. Checked both WN and SY, flights are bookable up to August and then it stops.

Why? Seems a bit odd to me to end service mid-season.

AAL-IBZ, AAR-IBZ or BLL-IBZ.

Strange that a popular holiday destination like IBZ is not served from any airport in this region in Europe. I'm sure it would perform better than many destinations that are served from these airports.

Would a climb/glide schedule save fuel compared to a constant cruise altitude flight?

Modern aircraft have an incredible gliding range. From cruise altitude they can glide for a few thousand kilometers before they touch the ground. This got me thinking, couldn't that gliding range be used to save fuel? Let's say for a TATL flight, the aircraft climbs to it's maximum altitude. Then th...
