Knowing what we know at this point you won't see me on a MAX anytime soon. I don't even think that is an issue as I doubt we see then return to service in 2019. Boeing thru the whole process sacrificed safety to rush this plane on the market. $ over innocent peoples lives. Hope the executives sleep...

Re: Miami Air 737 runway overrun into river at NAS Jacksonville

Yet another 737 runway overrun. Why do these incidents always seem to be on that aircraft? Higher approach speeds vs other aircraft? Could be that the sheer number of 737’s in service increase the odds of an incident. Can’t really say the aircraft is at fault until all the facts are in. I see 7008 ...

Re: B737MAX Grounded Worldwide

Boeing could turn down AA/WN request and proceed with a clean sheet design. Narrowbody orders are ongoing, so loss of even a big customer is not the end of the world. Cash flow could be difficult if NG orders would go down, but that is a whole different story. Except, more 737's are deployed outsid...

Seriously - specific training? This is part of basic training on any aircraft and I'm sure Pilots do this in the simulator all the time. Drop the nose or apply power and pick up the wing that drops with the rudder (if it drops). If a pilot can't do this they would never be allowed to Solo a Cessna....

Because multiple airlines didn't want to wait for a new clean sheet design. Especially Southwest and American which threatened to switch to Airbus. Boeing didn't have a choice. How these two crashes affect Boeing and the 737 MAX programme in the future?
