Re: The Rest of Ohio - 2019

Speaking of CMH-SFO, dummy bookings for the spring (March) show that the time of the SFO-CMH return leg is changing from a red-eye to an afternoon time slot departing at 13:14 and arriving 20:52. Any insight? I'd much rather have the red-eye option. I'm not sure who that timeslot really serves. My ...

Re: AA MD-80 one month left.

I plan on flying on the last AA MD-80 from CMH on Sept 3rd to DFW.

Re: The Rest of Ohio - 2019

I took the SFO-CMH redeye last week and it was pretty full - probably only about 10-12 empty seats on the A320. It was nice to be able to not have to connect through EWR or ORD for once coming from the west.

Re: The Rest of Ohio - 2019

Interesting...I'm flying CMH to SFO in July on UA and the equipment is a 737-900. WOW...that's a helluva upgrade from A320. I'm wondering if this is an indication of better than expected occupancy, or just random equipment assignment. I was hoping to try out the new flights but they are about doubl...

I would say it's more a semi-permanent M88 replacement.

Seems like the 737-900 would be a closer replacement. From what I see the MD-88 is at 149 seats and the closest is 737-900 and then A321.

This must be replacing the 757 that DL occasionally send our way?

Re: The Rest of Ohio - 2019

Speaking of IAH on UA, will CMH ever see mainline on this route? Recently booked a trip for a family event in Mexico (SLP) which requires a connection in either IAH via UA or DFW via AA. The price difference on the two carriers was negligible so it came down to the first leg; 2.5 hours each way on ...

Re: The Rest of Ohio - 2019

CMH can probably support nonstop service to LAX on WN on at least a seasonal basis since (a) CMH doesn't currently have nonstop service to LAX on any LCC's or ULCC's whereas nearby markets such as CVG, CLE, DTW, IND, and PIT all have nonstop service to LAX on at least one LCC on at least a seasonal...

Re: United Fleet/Network Thread - 2019

Moving all of my travel back to United after a really bad experience with AA. I just noticed that UA is getting some A350s in a few years. Definitely excited about that.

Re: The Rest of Ohio - 2019

Anyone else excited about the upcoming SFO-CMH routes? I will be flying to/from SFO a week before the routes start but should be making at least two more trips out there during the summer and hope to cut down on my travel time. The flights don't look very full yet, but most business travelers aren't...

I am a AA flyer, but I am set to go to SFO next month. I am going to try AS on the return to see how it is and support the route.

Re: The rest of Ohio - 2018

I feel like TATL is on the horizon for CMH, but it will probably be with Delta which I don't regularly fly. What I hope to see are fewer regional jets and more A319s or even A321s! For example, two flights to MIA each day are still on the ERJ-145 which is a bit small for such a long flight.
