Re: AA Miami mechanic arrested for sabotaging aircraft

As for the aircraft type, I suspect either a Boeing 737-800 or an Airbus A321. I think you are right, because of the distance the route is not normally served by mainline. Thursday AM however, AA ran an extra section on a B738 AA9245.... I would suspect that is the flight. https://flightaware.com/l...

Re: Delta: no involuntary bumps in last two quarters

Their offers can get truly bonkers in dire circumstances they were offering 5 figure Amex gift cards in JAC last winter during the Christmas peak, I would imagine EGE and other premium destinations can see similar numbers

Re: Somewhat confirmed: Delta ending contract with GoJet, Compass

To be clear RE: the ASE flying it cannot be switched to a 175/900 currently due to local regulations, it is more than just an airport performance issue. Pitkin County has put specific regulations in place with a list of acceptable aircraft for operation from ASE. Until that changes the CR7 will stay...

Re: Delta & WestJet Joint Venture Future Routes

I would add the possibility of seeing SLC-YYC on mainline, probably, WS metal, currently it is just 1-2 OO/CP RJs a day, if the entire SLC regional operation is carrying WS codeshares there’s a lot of connection opportunities unique to SLC where SEA is way out of the way/not an option. AC and UA fun...

Re: Air Canada's intercontinental routes

I've flown AC transborder literally hundreds of times. I've never noticed an incident like that. Not saying that it doesn't happen, but I'm very sceptical that you've noticed a public spectacle of this sort on every single transborder flight you've taken in Canada.. Seconding this, with dozens/poss...

Good Points overall, but AFAIK all the LAX and SFO transcons are on the specially outfitted A321Ts?

Re: SkyWest livery CRJ7 down for maintenance?

N767SK is in OO house now as well. I’ve counted up to 4 in house, but I don’t know the other 2 N numbers. Correct, there are now 4. None is in any sort of longterm maintenance, in addition to the original N752SK "Waldo" I believe that N767SK "Nemo" is correct, I know N768SK is a...

Re: US-Japan agree on additional Haneda slots; DOT to allocate

I'd say 4 or 5 slots for Delta is most likely, which means ATL/DTW/SEA plus one of PDX/HNL/SIN/MNL would also move. If they got a 5th, it'd be interesting what they decided to do with it. JFK seems like a possible re-entry, but perhaps they'd try and get a slot for SIN/MNL (probably SIN, but then a...

The crew told pax it was fan blade related according to a friend who was on it. Any chance NZ would rescue or will it for sure be UA metal?

United 98 LAX-MEL maintenance divert to NAN

https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UAL ... /KLAX/NFFN
I know this isn't especially uncommon, but what does United do from here? Seems like a challenging situation given NAN isn't even a United station and resources are probably quite limited.
