oh dear..... any word on what plane collided with the 175???
Jump to postWait, European Aviation, like Paul Stoddart European Aviation, the guy who ran Minardi F1???? They still exist????
Jump to postis it Horizon operating the flights or SkyWest?
Jump to postI'm not surprised this is happening, it's sad by all means, but it would seem the industry as a whole is shifting. I wasn't born in time, but it seems the CJ2's and eventually my personal favorite E140 and 45's are going away like the turbo props that used to hold 14-37 people and used to be staples...
Jump to postit's no Bob Crandle, but maybe just maybe this guy can stop pivoting AA into a legacy ULLCC.....
Jump to postSo, let me get this straight. Trans States Airlines is shutting down (confirmed?), Compass is on the decline and out (barring any major changes?), all of Express Jet's E175's are going to Sky West (confirmed?) and take over some AA flying on E175's (rumored?), Express Jet will take on all 145 flying...
Jump to postWishful thinking but i'd love to see DFW and/or ORD to GFK, and maybe CLT-FAR, but i do welcome seeing the PHX-FAR flight.
Jump to postI mean, just make Mesa a decent regional to fly on then it might be worth it, but hey, if it means more E175's it's borderline worth it
Jump to postWould the A340's do any good with cargo carriers? or does the same issue regarding fuel costs hamper the aircraft?
Jump to posti'm sorry, but why on earth would anyone want a 2-4-2 seating, aside from couples on the window sides
Jump to postWow, this is shocking, all I can hope for is flights to either GFK or FAR
Jump to postYou know, part of me honestly believes that NWA didn't know about the 777 until DL merged with them, NW does not seem to know about modern airplanes, i mean sweet jesus they had DC-10's, and DC-9's when at the end of their company.... (sarcasm)
Jump to postKevin McAllister, isn't that kid that's trying to hide and protect his parents house from goofy bandits? Sounds like dealing with the Max and Airbus fans
Jump to post(sarcasm) *GASP* Someone dared to suggest that Delta should buy something from Boeing, it's blasphemy, they'll buy turboprops before they buy new stuff from Boeing at the rate they're going
Jump to postPersonally, I just view it as EWR accepting it's place among the 3 NYC airports/accepting it's surroundings (Sarcasm)[/quote I don't understand this comment at all. Accepting vs excepting perhaps? I believe EWR is #2 in traffic. It's a jab at New Yorkers/New Jersians/New York Airports, I wasn't goo...

Jump to postI never knew Miami could be heaven, but it does seem there there is a heaven, a place with NO CRJ'S! I'm not sure how the E145 can be considered so much better. That narrow cabin is quite claustrophobic. If there's a seat open next to you on the CRJ it isn't bad at all. The E145 is lovely! I have a...

Jump to postOnly a few million yen to start my airline empire?! Sounds like a deal to me!
Jump to postAA needs to drop Mesa in general. God awful CRJ’s and poor service. I do find it annoying about the noise. Maybe don’t buy a house in a known approach corridor.
Jump to postJust for reference, AA has about 15 of those A321T’s. There is a ton of frequency between JFK/BOS to SFO/LAX. Seems to be working out great. No complaints that I’ve really heard of. While it would be great to ride a wide body, if made to be comfortable a narrow body can’t be beat
Jump to postPardon me for sounding extremely dumb with this, but what this mean in simpleton English?
Jump to postGood luck, though wouldn't a plane that is a "Sky Palace" should have at worst domestic first class seating?
Jump to postPardon me for asking but what TATL mean? Everyone tosses it around like it's more common knowledge than the alphabet itself
Jump to postIt doesn’t surprise me. At least with AC mainline. There’s a lot of locations in the US that are tourist/vacation spots, of which many Canadians like to go to. Also, consider business, lots of companies have offices in Canada besides US and vice versa.
Jump to postAny word on aircraft for these routes? I assume PHX-FAR will either be a CRJ9 from Mesa or a CRJ7 from SkyWest.
Jump to postOMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG I HAVE ANOTHER PLACE TO STANDBY ON! I can now go FAR-PHX-RDU, and vice versa, it’s a (potential) miracle. Now if they would just send stuff to GFK as well
Jump to postI'm still waiting for GFK-ORD and GFK-DFW on AA metal. Or at the very least more flights in and out of FAR, so i can standby on them
Jump to postWhy can’t we go back to the day of wearing suits and ties/business attire for flights?
Jump to postI mean, Delta are the biggest Airbus fanbois in the USA, i’m low key surprised some of their customers are not like “if it’s not Airbus, i’m taking the bus”.
Jump to postI know this is really really really hard for some of y’all to understand, but in aviation, you get what you paid for. So if you pay 50 bucks for a seat on Allegiant/Frontier/Spirit, you might get there, eventually, and hopefully alive. If you pay 100 bucks for the same seat on JetBlue and Southwest,...

*sighs and twiddles thumbs* still no AA ORD-GFK or DFW-GFK, at least no reductions to FAR on AA
Jump to postOh, *very long frustrated sigh* of course they do. Of course....
Jump to postSounds interesting but I think the day, that planes get so efficient, that one can fly 10,000NM of the way around, and be profitable. Will be the ultimate mountain that’s needed to be crossed. Especially if it can be made profitable. With cargo and pax.
Jump to postNot sure if this had been posted, AA looks to get ahead in the regional industry. My only question is how will this affect 175's being operated by Republic (YX) and CRJ700's operated by SkyWest (OO) https://viewfromthewing.boardingarea.com/2019/01/12/at-least-200-american-airlines-regional-jets-will...
Jump to postWait, there's no mountain dew or diet mountain dew. That's the entire point of switching from coke to Pepsi products. Good on JetBlue for doing this.
Jump to postHey guys, one outlet reporting as many as 13 deaths. https://www-m.cnn.com/2019/05/05/europe ... cnn.com%2F
Jump to postSimply and blunt answer: The only thing that stayed United with the merger between the two was United as the name and 744’s weren’t immediately dropped plus they kept hub’s that’s it.
Jump to postI just like Fedex race cars, and that they offer mainline pilots 75 an hour starting out
Jump to postYes and no, yes because my area of ND has a lot of traffic flying over (except for 12 midnight to 5 AM), and No because there a lot of airports in the midwest with air carrier service. Fargo ND has a ton of flights with 3 legacy (albeit regional, except for the daily mainline delta's), 3 of the low ...
