An American Eagle E145 has gone off the runway in Freeport. Don't look like there will be many injuries fortunately.

- Rossiya, some Russian airline, recently acquired 7 or 8 ex-BA 744s. Minor quibble. Rossiya does fly 747s however they did not get them from BA. The 744s have been in their fleet since 2016 (?) Yeah people need to get past this idea of Rossiya geting ex BA 744s, especially considering most of the ...Jump to post
Can't find I link yet but an internal memo has been sent to staff stating the 747 fleet is done. Will post a link when one becomes available.Jump to post
I suspect the reason BA haven’t formally withdrawn the B744 yet is the idea that Virgin won’t survive the winter and with Norwegian effectively nowhere, they want to be in a position to grab market share for summer 2021. It’ll be a long road back, but with the summer gone and winter likely dominate...Jump to post

Sorry if I missed it but do we know when/if the repainting is gonna speed up? I know it's not a priority at the moment but there'll come a point when the aircraft will be due a repaint anyway. Still waiting (and hoping!) To see the 752 and 764 in the new livery but don't know how likely that is nowJump to post
An ex Flybe Q400 (G-ECOK) Has hit a Loganair E145 (G-SAJS) at ABZ. apparently the brakes failed on the Q400.

I think in the distant future they will open a base in either BRS or CWL. Its probably the biggest gap in their UK network with the nearest base being BHX. BRS is already at near full capacity and LS tend to base more aircraft per base so I'd imagine CWL may be better choice as they will only be com...Jump to post
I've heard they're due to open bases in TFS and LPA next year with ACE potentially following in 2022. Don't know how accurate it is but good luck to them! With the loss of MON, GMI, TCX etc along with Ryanair's regular tantrums, I believe there is certainly a gap that needs filling in the market, pa...Jump to post

Didn't BA want some more? I know they have the 3 due but I'm sure they wanted more iircJump to post
One small impact of new uniforms. The safety video that AA has had for the last 4 years will be replaced to reflect the new uniforms. No more "Hello Everyone, thank you for your attention, it is time to get you ready for takeoff". Of course, as IFE slowly goes away, there will be fewer an...Jump to post
The red-silver livery is much more attractive Are they operating both liveries concurrently or are they transitioning from one to the other? Operating a mix of both. One for the flight only side and the other obviously for the holiday side. It does not have any effect of what scheme fly's where tho...Jump to post
I believe the engine start up we hear is from the north end of the field. I'm pretty sure that was not the engine start up of the 777-9. The camera is way too far from the plane. The engine start up was most likely from other planes nearby the camera. It probably was the 767 but are you aware of ho...Jump to post
British Airways have flown a few 747/767s CWL-DGX which, if flown in a straight line would take a matter of seconds. There has also been a number of other aircraft that have done this including an Air Mauritius A343, China Eastern A332 and a Med View 763Jump to post
Noticed some ex-TC aircraft movement recently, its collapse has allowed many airlines to add additional capacity without having to wait for Boeing for Airbus to churn out their new aircraft. Jet2 and Vietjet have added few A321, one of its older A321 has arrived in Singapore for P2F conversion, I w...Jump to post
Unfortunately it's impossible to garuntee all those things, especially without a list of every route, airline, aircraft, airport (and all aircraft in the airport at the time) and registration your father flew in. Is this enough of an issue that I should change by flight from a 737 -800 to a CRJ900 on Wednesday? Is there any chance inspections will have started by then? Also, is a 737-900ER considered a NG? Thank you!! This is a bit extreme don't you think? The 73NG is absolutely fine. Nearly every plane in ...Jump to post

Something very odd about this. There’s no foreign aircraft flying in, there’s no chartered widebodies(apart from a single MAS380) coming in, the repatriation effort is either very half arsed, badly organised, or there isn’t one. It's not official until 0200. I'd imagine planes are crewed and ready ...Jump to post
