This is a step in the wrong direction. Smoking lounges were a competitive edge and customer satisfaction point for ATL. Missed connections and security times will increase and productivity will decrease. In fact, smoking lounges should be put back in major airports where they have been taken out.

I would think upguaging CMH-LGA to mainline during peak hours would come before CMH-AUS by DL. Perhaps it is wishful thinking, but it would be a great A220 route if not a 717 route.

Maybe they just got caught off guard by clear air turbulence in the middle of the service. I am sure if they were expecting that turbulence the pilot would have suspended it and the flight attendants would have been strapped in.

United has the best geography but Delta has the best airports. DTW, SLC, SEA, MSP, and ATL are reliable and quick to transfer through. I am always impressed by MSP in the winter. Flew out to HND in a blizzard in February that brought many other airports to a stop.
