Settings for overcast skies?

Other than setting the white balance to overcast/cloudy, what settings do you use to shoot an airshow when the sky is overcast? Meter mode? Exposure compensation?

Re: British Airways News and Discussion - 2023

That's why they should have dealt with the ones who were the problem and/or updated the policy to be more specific. A blanket ban is lazy.

Re: British Airways News and Discussion - 2023

I don't know if it deserves it's own thread but I'm disappointed in BA's decision to ban staff from posting on social media while "professionally engaged in the job". People like Capt. Dave are great brand ambassadors who provide interesting and insightful posts on what it's like to be a p...

Re: Eastern Airlines Flight 401 50 Years Ago

Kind of off topic but why are the crew wearing two completely different uniforms? Was that common back then?

Re: Your Most Disappointing Aircraft Swaps.

This past September I flew BA AUS-LHR and back. I had never flown on the A350 and it was my first time flying international business so I was looking forward to the brand new Club Suite. I was very disappointed when it was changed to a 77E with the old Club World seat. I haven't found out why they c...

Re: Ever bypassed your primary home airport?

Yes but not because of cost. When I fly to UK, I drive to AUS because of the direct flight to LHR instead of flying out of SAT and connecting at DFW or IAH.

Re: Austin Aviation Thread - 2022

Does anyone know why BA190 changes from an A350 to 777 at the beginning of September? This a/c change is due to seasonal demand being less & BA having additional slack in their B77E schedules compared to the B789 in which offers F. A B788 would work even better but suspect they are on a very ti...

Re: Austin Aviation Thread - 2022

Does anyone know why BA190 changes from an A350 to 777 at the beginning of September? I'm curious about this as well, for this is news to me. My 190/191 on 18 and 29 Nov remain 35X, says my app. I sure hope that stays the same, because I've not flown on the 350 yet. My seats were changed for the Se...

Re: British Airways News and Discussion Thread - 2022

Does anyone know why BA190 (AUS-LHR) changes from an A350 to 777 at the beginning of September? It is my first time flying international business class and am disappointed that it will be in the old Club World instead of the new Club Suite.

Camera mode settings for airshows

What settings do you use for airshows? Usually I use full manual and I don’t have much trouble but most sites recommend either aperture or shutter priority. I really never use either of these so I would like some feedback. What do you shoot in?
I have a 90D and it should be a sunny day.

Re: 737MAX Storage, Where are they?

I believe there are (or were) some at PortSA/JBSA Kelly (fka Kelly AFB) at the Boeing facility there. Not sure which airlines though.

British Airways fares- mobile app vs. website

I am planning a trip to the UK, flying AUS-LHR on BA. Leaving on or about 6 May and returning 21 May in WT+. The fare on the mobile app is reasonable at about $1,400 round trip. I called their 800 number and the agent quoted the same price. However, when I go to the BA desktop site, the price is ove...
