Re: Kuching Weekend Getaway on AirAsia

This is a short weekend trip and as during date of the trip, the Covid-19 situation in Kuching, a well as South-east Asia in general, was still not widespread and people were still going about the daily lives as normal. First stop was a late lunch as a Lau Ya Keng foodcourt at Carpenter Street. http...

Kuching Weekend Getaway on AirAsia

Before the COVID had a major impact to air travel in Southeast Asia, I made a weekend trip (which would also be my last flying for a looong time) to Kuching, Sarawak. The COVID impact was starting to be felt in late February, with significant reduction in flight frequencies to countries such as Chin...

Unlike the way up, the flight back to Singapore was via Hong Kong on SQ. SQ offers through check-in from Shenzhen Shekou Port to SIN via HKIA. Shekou port was about 40min cab ride from my hotel at Futian. It was a rather big and new ferry and cruise terminal. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/4941...

As part of my year end escapades, I recently went on a short trip to Bali. Re: Shanghai New Year with SQ New A380 Business and Suites

Just a short walk to immigration, and foreigners would need to do a self-registration of fingerprints before the immigration counters. As it was not busy, process was fast and immigration did not take too long as well. https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7886/45938463384_3677be0a36_b.jpg We rode the subwa...
