Re: Speaking of the A220...

Air Tanzania might be getting two more. It states Airbus specifically but not which model, so could be the 320, 330, or 350 instead of the A220. (330/350 I think are less likely...but they have a single 787 so not completely ruling out the possibility. If i had to guess I'd say A220 or A320... but A...

According to the below article, AF is about to order planes in the A320neo family (to replace about 40 old A320) and up to 50-70 A220 (to replace about 50 A318 and A319). https://www.latribune.fr/depeches/reuters/KCN1UD24G/airbus-proche-de-conclure-une-grosse-commande-avec-air-france.html In Englis...

By January 2020 Boeing will have at least 400 built 737's lying around, so about $50bn of stock, is continuing production sustainable? Re: AF to order A220, replace A380 with 787 or A350?

The A318 fleet at Air France ranges from 12 to 16 years old, not geriatric, but old enough to consider replacing. I did not check, but I imagine their A319 fleet might be even older. Ordering the A220 makes sense, but AF probably won't get delivery slots until at least 2021 or 2022. However, they m...

N120DU also had it's 2nd flight today and pictures of Egyptair's first A220 probably indicates that one will be flying soon.

What is the range of the traditional 149 seat aircraft, ie., 727, 737-300, A320ceo, and MD88? Imho 2,000nm is more than enough to fill those markets....the densely traveled domestic US markets east of a line from DFW to MSP. Re: A220 gets 2.3T MTOW increase

A quick look (I may be off) is that there have been 20 A221's and 51 A223's delivered so far with 14 this year. At this pace it will be hard to get 50 deliveries this year, or a 4 per month rate. Production needs to get to 10 per month STAT! 14 so far this year with two currently in test flight. I'...

Re: A220 gets 2.3T MTOW increase

... I will be the first to admit I'm not an expert in aircraft assembly. I don't really comprehend all the certification. .... I suspect the biggest problem with C Series current production is the presence of multiple modifications in the pipeline. They need to clear that up. Doing it for two produ...

Re: A220 gets 2.3T MTOW increase

... Delta had 4 deliveries last year and is planning on 24 this year. With just over 7 months left I am assuming these 24 have started at least with suppliers. So let's say that leaves 12 A220-100 they can switch to -300s and then in a few years they come back to finish Deltas A220-100s. What I don...

Re: A220 gets 2.3T MTOW increase

Hey VV you remind me of politicians. From their viewpoint everything they want to do is "easy". We in the UK have been sold that things are "easy" in the BREXIT debate. Real life proved much more complicated. Airbus have actually moved, in my opinion, at considerable speed in th...

Re: A220 gets 2.3T MTOW increase

As you said, Boeing has left open the option of another complaint. I know internationally there are a lot of complicated disputes in aircraft manufacturing and I don't fully understand it. Airbus and Delta know more than I do if they import an A220-300 what might happen. I can see them choosing to ...

Re: A220 gets 2.3T MTOW increase

Mirabel assembly facility produces both CS100 and CS300. So, what's the problem? Correct, Mirabel can build both the A220-100 and A220-300. However, there are a lot of questions surrounding whether or not an A220-300 built in Mirabel can be imported to the USA. I do not know the answer, and what I ...
