So where exactly does the underground tunnel run to connect the new north and south concourses? I ask because in the aerial photos, it doesn’t appear that the as built North Concourse stretches far enough east (currently) to align with the “entry hall” from the head house on the south concourse. Re: Why have DL's A320-200s not been retired????????

My point is that on the website, 737-900s are mixed in with the 700s and 800s when they say average age, but the 319 is a separate line from 320 from 321. I have to ask, on what web site? Re: Why have DL's A320-200s not been retired????????

That’s ignoring that DL also has a large A321 fleet that is mostly newer than the 739 fleet. DL’s 738 fleet is quite a bit older than the 739s, but their A320 fleet especially is even older, with many approaching 30 years old. The A319 are similar in age to many of the 738s. It’s those A320s that a...

Plus, the 737 series as a whole is 9.5 years old according to planespotters. And the A320 series is 18.4 years old as a whole!! I That's more a function of the fact they've received a large number of brand new 739s in the last several years. DLs 738s are quite a bit older, some of the oldest are pa...

Re: Rumor: DL looking to trade 717s for 737 Max

They certainly could get 100 MAXs faster than 100 A220s - even recognizing the A220s they have on order. 1. But only the A220 is allowed to fly, the MAX is grounded. 2. The A220 offers more cabin comfort for passengers. 3. Passengers won't trust travelling onboard the MAX. Big, successful carriers ...

By that reasoning, EWR would have a lower average fare. Does that mean the name of EWR vs. JFK isn’t that consequential or is there something else that more than makes up for the lack of “JFK” in the name? A lot more airlines prefer to fly into JFK, meaning there is more demand/competition. Which i...

And they have the A221s to sub for 717s.. Delta is 12 under the 76 seat limit; they would need 14 more A221s together with all the 717s to max out 223 76 seat jets. Delta coincidentally has 14 more A221s on order. After this, A221s could replace 717s. But the remaining DL orders for A220s are for 5...

The thing is 220-500, -700, -900 are all undefined. If 500 and -700 would be stretches of 3 rows, a -700 could be a 6 row, 4.7m stretch of the A220-300 A220-300 (38.7m) + 4.7m makes ~43.5 which wouldn't seem unfeasible.. still 10m short of the 757-300. https://live.staticflickr.com/4234/34915203333...
