Could BNE finally be permanent for QR?

Its the Canadian government being a protectionist bitch to AC, I'm sick and tired of them. I read that Toronto was to be served for a limited time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yeah I remember one site saying it but the official QR release didnt say it was limited (at least not directly) and p...Jump to post
IIRC, I think the flight was also originally tied to QF leaving the YYZ market. QF used to do YYZ-HNL-SYD with a 763 and almost immediately after QF leaving YYZ, AA began LAX-YYZ with flights that were directly timed to QF connections at LAX. It initially began as a daily 738, at one point IIRC it ...Jump to post
You are the only one, AA doesn't even fly LAX/PHX-YYZ I got the impression that YYZ-LAX rode on some large corporate entertainment contract that they lost; as for PHX-YYZ, it skews heavily towards Canada POS and it's hard for AA to compete with Rouge and WestJet on the route. SEA-YYZ is probably a ...Jump to post
It's not temporary cause QR officially announced it with no mention of it being temporary. If it was temporary, they would've been reparation flights with no official announcement of YYZ being a new route. It would not make any sense for them to launch a new route for only a month. YYZ has been a de...Jump to post
YVR would come first before YYZ. No. MZFW (Maximum Zero Fuel Weight) of A359ULR is similar/close to standard A359. With the exception of maybe the 777-200LR and a340-500, most flights greater than 10-11 hr in length are under MZFW because, generally speaking, most aircraft needs to trade payload at ...Jump to post
It seemed like ANA NH wanted AC to join their current JV with UA and make it a tri lateral JV, similar to the one that LH has with UA and AC. However UA was against adding AC to the NH JV, I was wondering why that was the case when it seems to be working well with LH? https://centreforaviation.com/a...Jump to post
It could be that maybe AC is replacing YVR-IAH, YEG is permanently gone as YYC is nearby.Jump to post
It doesn't make sense that YVR-SYD is profitable for AC year round but for QF with a smaller aircraft like the 787, its not profitable for them. QF should just make YVR year round, AC needs some competition along w WS codesharing with QF! A route "requiring competition" doesn't always mean...Jump to post
If its open skies, then why are they not adding anymore US routes? Does anyone have the bilateral air transport agreements between Qatar and US? Is QR at their max flights to the US? It is OpenSkies, there is no limit. AA can never match QR's service quality. The best option for AA is to let QR star...Jump to post

Maybe AA will replace QR's flights to PHL? It's considered the worst performing US route I think so AA could use a 787 which has less capacity.Jump to post
For SEA, I'd say if they can build the bullet train to YVR from SEA, move all asian and european international flights from SEA to YVR and leave SEA for only domestic/canada flights. Except for the minor detail of YVR being located in another country that would be a great idea. US based carriers wo...Jump to post

Any chance NH could add DAC-NRT as they serve RGN?Jump to post
Is there any evidence of DOH-DTW? I'd love to fly that route from YYZ.

LAS and SFO, while announced, were never actually planned. The only planned US expansion was DTW in 2021.
I was wondering why NH, JL, or KE can't add DAC as a destination from their hubs? All those airlines serve destinations in India along with KE serving Sri Lanka. With UA, DL, and AA having JV's with those airlines, how can they not make DAC work but somehow CX, TG, and SQ can make DAC work?Jump to post
What are the chances of QR adding DOH-SEA thanks to AS joining OneWorld?Jump to post
How will SEA-BLR on AA affect the YVR-DEL route on AC? I'm sure many from SEA connects on that route.Jump to post
LHR-YYZ/YYC is most likely as WS serves LGW and not LHR and they codeshare now.Jump to post
Easy connections at YYZ and EWR, I remember at MXP that the AC MXP-YYZ had a UA codeshare meaning they connect to UA ORD flights at YYZ for example.Jump to post

I noticed that both UA and AC are in the same JV with LH group for a trans atlantic JV but I was wondering why its not the same for NH's trans pacific JV with UA? Was AC not interested in being in the JV or was it NH or UA that didn't want AC to make it a tri JV than the current JV between NH/UA?Jump to post
https://buffalonews.com/2020/01/28/schumer-pushes-for-flights-to-san-francisco/ Schumer is pushing for SF - BUF direct flights. He did get b6 direct flights from BUF- LAX. So wonder how likely this route is. It won't work, there are too many direct flights to SFO from YYZ with both AC/UA. LAX only ...Jump to post
YWG is kind of like a focus city for WS and has flights to YYC, YVR, YQR, YQT, and YXE. Would it be possible for WS or DL to add YWG-LGA in the near future as I noticed YWG is in the perimeter? All the other destinations WS serves from YWG I mentioned cannot fly to LGA due to being out of the perime...Jump to post
It’s no different from Lufthansa United and Air Canada, their work groups all seem to do just fine . They cooperate across the Atlantic under a three-way joint venture with the Lufthansa Group. So I do not buy that argument. Makes me wonder why ANA can't do a three way JV with UA and AC on their NH...Jump to post

Laughs in A359ULR
With SQ doing well on SIN-SEA with their A359 and the same aircraft having the range to fly SIN-YVR direct, some are speculating SQ will launch YVR soon. Others are saying that AC will rather launch first with their 789 instead of SQ. With SQ having 20 years of history serving YVR, it is very surpri...Jump to post
