The poster's question is what makes BOS and JFK different from the rest of the markets it operated in, not why would an airline park a plane for 20hrs.

I believe that aircraft in the lane ahead report turbulence and information gets passed along to whomever's going to hit it.

I hated the livery when it came out, but since then it has grown on me immensely. Immediately recognizable and well layered throughout all their branding. Let it stay.
