Re: Airbus A220 (CSeries) Delivery/Production Thread - 2019

50039 completed it's second predelivery test flight 9 days ago on the 12th, the same day that 50038 was delivered to Delta. It hasn't flown since and neither has any other aircraft destined for any customer. Is there an issue affecting predelivery testing?

VV It seems that you have a problem in believing anything, what it does seem like that you have your own personal agenda, isn't it time for you to grow up! I sincerely do not understand why I found so few flights between LCY and JFK in 2018. Since people here say that the route is quite popular I f...

Republic did not reject the contract during bankruptcy. Evidently, the benefits of maintaining the contract with the renegotiated delivery completed in 2016 outweighed the benefit of rejecting the contract.

Re: Airbus A220 (CSeries) Delivery/Production Thread - 2019

13 pre-delivery flights so far for the 29th A220 to be delivered to SWISS. This must be some kind of record...... Perhaps Airbus and Swiss have agreed to use it for certification for capability that FTVs are not capable of. Is it a -100 or a -300? Could it be testing related to LCY approaches? Is t...

Re: Airbus A220 (CSeries) Delivery/Production Thread - 2019

Actually, 2 A220-100's remain to be delivered to SWISS. One apparently is in production, the other, apparently in outside storage. And the one in production that you mention is now in the air for the first time. With 50018 to be delivered this month, 50030 delivered earlier this month to Delta and ...

Re: Airbus A220 (CSeries) Delivery/Production Thread - 2019

I've been trying to find a source for this but for the life of me I can't...so it's possible I'm remembering something from A.net that isn't solid fact. I know I distinctly remember reading that the first A220s from Mobile would be built in Mirabel and sent to Mobile for paint/interior installation...

Re: Canadian Airports 2018 statistics

YSB finally updated their website and indicate 286,260, a 5.7% increase YSB will probably give all that gain back in 2019 with the loss of WestJet (again). I agree and also with AC cancelling so many flights due to no competition everytime slota are needed in YYZ. The N Ontario flights seem to take...

In the AFP Video, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugc0tTyFvD8) there are a couple of things that call my attention. In this other longer video from another angle you can see people later trying to climb the slide Very shocking these videos, people in the rear probably never had a chance. RIP :( ht...

Re: Airbus A220 (CSeries) Delivery/Production Thread - 2019

How is motivation at Maribel? Does loss of independence depress the succes of the CSeries/A220 in terms of keeping in the good people? Airbus can throw in money, resources, sales but is totally dependent on the Canadian teams to make the A220 a success, also for setting up the Mobile FAL. This migh...

Reason Red Wings cancelled A220 lease

https://airlinerwatch.com/red-wings-airlines-abandons-plans-of-acquiring-six-airbus-a220-300/ This story suggests that the cancellation was due to failure to certify the A220 in Russia which is indicated as a response to Canada not certifying the SSJ100. Anybody have more information on this and how...
