Several months ago, my long-standing account (ChrisNH) was blocked from entering the forums. I could successfully log onto the main airliners.net site, but got the 'Error 502' code upon trying to go the next step into the Forums. I’m surprised B6 doesn’t run an advertisement saying “All we fly are mainline jets.” The more RJs DL throws at BOS, the more that difference stands out.

IMO Boston has enough service already to LHR/LGW based on 2020 announcements and then of course what JetBlue eventually does down the road. Only thing I could see BA doing here is making the A380 year-round, but even that is probably a stretch.

No one is debating WN's relevance nationally. In BOS however they have become irrelevant, and they dragged MHT down along with it. This indeed has been the result. But truth be told, consolidation dragged MHT down. UA swallowed up CO; AA swallowed up US; DL swallowed up NW. None of the three 'winne...

I don't quite get EK bringing the A380 back for December and January before going four months with the 77W. Is there some spike in demand in December & January? Maybe they just want some winter-time practice at Logan before going year-round with it in 2020 and beyond.

WN has had some good success entering 'big-city' airports (DEN comes to mind, with what they're planning), but BOS is decidedly not one of them. Oh, they won't pull out of Logan. But nor will they really grow. And that's the paradox since they are going to (in my view) occupy more gates there than t...

UA and AA are token players at Logan nowadays, and I never thought I’d see myself type that. DL and B6 have grown up around them. I can't help but think WN's arrival at BOS wasn't such a positive thing for them. They hold no leverage with Massport and they can't turn their planes anywhere near as fast as they might like. AA yanked these off the BOS-LAX route and replaced them with ordinary A321s. I don’t know if this is signaling that JetBlue’s Mint is ‘winning’ because the route has more than those two on it.
