A tad early, but Im curious what layout EK will choose for their A350s and B787s. Right now their B772LRs are lowest F8C42Y216 total 266. No clue if EK will keep these aircraft or phase them out as the A350s and B787a start to enter the fleet. Also, cannot see EK installing Y+ if these frames are go...Jump to post
Watch next month. Big announcement at Farnborough ordering more A350s and walking on the B787s.
There was never a feeling of excitement on the B787 order anyhow. This is my opinion only...so I could be 100% wrong.
Well, Farnborough is one month away. Will he walk on the 787s? If he does then the only option is more A350s. But, Airbus has their own bugbears on supply issues. Not guaranteed.Jump to post
Can someone give a rundown on the process Boeing has to do once they obtain clearance for deliveries? They have 120 B787s parked. Do these frames need any work before they are cleared? And if so, geez...seems will take a while to get rid??
ikolkyo wrote:I have a hard time not seeing the 787-10 involved in this order, high capacity aircraft with good range. Seems to be working very well for SQ.
Congratulations QF & AB!! And yes, indeed, a shot in the arm for the A350-1000. Curious to see the layout and color scheme.
Could spark interest in the A350-1000 from other carriers, namely EK. Airbus has history in constantly improving weight gains, so 319t maybe just for starters for Sunrise.
Can the DPA be overturned? DOJ refused to do so before, but would be a great day for the families and relatives lost if it happened.
Crikey! As if Boeing needs another headache!
chrisnh wrote:I am noticing a fair number of BOS flights recently are using the 77W. Despite being a ‘bigger’ plane, does it have a smaller capacity than some of the 777s normally used?
How is the service nowadays on EY ? I stopped flying them and changed to QR because of having rather bad experiences flying them in business and aweful ones flying them in Economy ? Seeing as SQ has now restored their full schedule LHR-SIN, I wonder why BA resorted to a B789 when pre-Covid they ran an A380 LHR-SIN-LHR and an B777ER LHR-SIN-SYD?? So what's the scenario here?? FAA inspects the planes, signs ok, then what?? Boeing then calls the airlines to let them know their aircraft is ready, come pick up the keys? So all STCs moaning on the B777Xs were genuine frustration with Boeing for when EKs orders were to begin delivery. He has a valid point and frustration notwithstanding, he is caught between a rock and a hard place, coz EK wants and needs the B779s. The B787 order seems in the same boat. Nice placeme...Jump to post
What I find truly shocking is that Boeing did not take into account that a certification slip could happen and started develop the alerting system and have it ready just in case. They knew the new regulation is comming and gave away all control by hoping on politics to solve their stuff. Having it ...Jump to post
Keep looking but cannot find any information on a rumored AF/KLM B787 order. Anyone got any updates?
Guess AF are not too happy with their A350s if an B787 order is being contemplated??
Add Cebu Pacific, Starlux,Kuwait & Garuda to the list. No clue what happened at Hawaiian, probably Boeing needed a win...how well that turned out eh? Taking into account all circumstances, I can see Emirates adding some A350-1000s in their WB fleet mix. Fine tuning capacity & managing risk for specific network applications as they move forward. Ironic that they had 70 x A350-1000s on order which they turned around and cancelled!! The A350-10...Jump to post

Who hired A. Cruz in the 1st place? He seems to have caused quite a bit of damage
What were his redeeming features that qualified his hiring? AFAIK, he made money at Click, that's,about it. So why was he deemed suitable for the main carrier of IAG???
Seeing as F on BA is only 8 seats, high premiun demand is marginal. Why run your 787-9s and 787-10s with F, but not your supposedly "flagship" aircraft? Additionally, 787-9s at BA only have a total of 216 seats, their 787-10s clock in at 256. Even their 773s are only 275, and this is a mod...Jump to post
BA just took delivery of an A350-1000 this past weekend. They were speaking of changing the layout of "future" builds to make them more crew friendly. Anyone know what that means?? OK, so, final tally is that DL will operate 37 A330-900s, 35 owned and 2 leased; 13 already delivered, 1 in delivery process; 23 more to go. Is that correct? At which point Delta could operate 79 A330s. :faint: Or are some of the -900s going to replace older frames? Wouldn't be the 1st airline to o...Jump to post

Bigger impact on the B737MAX-10, but a letter sent to Boeing by the FAA, they cast doubt that the MAX-10 and the 777-9 will meet their certification deadlines as projected by Boeing.
