Dutch news site is reporting the previous direct MAX order was cancelled as the airline restructured it’s position on various fronts. Why not. We have 2 checklists on the 737; one for de-icing with engines off and one for engines running. Bleeds and Packs are off and in both cases they will only get switched on after a 1 minute period to clear any vapors. And in some places you need to have engines running to takeoff before your h...

Can someone post the max cargo volume of the 752 vs the MAX 8/9? Just out of interest.

I’ve flown the MAX 8 on 5.5hr sectors with a full payload and 3.8 tonnes of cargo. Coincidentally fish. Lol.

In my experience, the speed brakes usually get stowed before flaps are extended but I'm not sure if this is required or just a choice by the crews. I fly the -800 and MAX 8/9. We have a few recommendations regarding usage for certain flaps settings. (windshear/low viss and rough runways etc) But we are recommended to use Boeings Onboard Performance Tool (OPT) 'Optimum Flap' setting. That means 98% of my takeoff's are Flaps 1.
