With the completion of the A380, the A350-1000 is the largest aircraft Airbus makes. Still it is not as big as the B777-9. Will/should they make anything bigger than the A350-1000? Like the A350-2000? Or an all new design? This is to compete with the B777-9Jump to post
I suppose they will retire two of the oldest A380s right?
Quite odd. Only 2 being retired. Thought Alan Joyce said all 12 will return to service
I shall be going on a cruise from Santiago on Diamond Princess. And I shall cruise around Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Mexico and get off in Los Angeles. Then I shall go to San Francisco, Honolulu, Tokyo. March- May 2022.
Hope I will be fine. When will Chile/Japan fully reopen?
They appear to be. Also they serve food on certain domestic economy flights and they do have international first class onboard certain planes like the B777-300ER. Your evaluation of domestic flying seems to be limited to trans-con and hub-to-hub routes. For many of us domestic flying involves the o...Jump to post
https://onemileatatime.com/insights/can-united-airlines-become-premium/ Seems that American Airlines is more premium for now. Not sure how you’re coming to this conclusion. They appear to be. https://onemileatatime.com/insights/can-united-airlines-become-premium/ If they want to do so, should they reintroduce international first class on certain planes? Also maybe bring back free domestic food on domestic flights? Seems that American Airlines is more premium for now. Maybe premium in the...Jump to post
I guess HKG was dropped because of the 2019 social activities.
Will it ever return? It's an important premium market
Wonder if it will grow again with new widebodies returnting to HKG, LAX etc?
I believe Sir Richard Branson owns 10-20% in it still?
Thanks a lot.
I know SFO and LA well.
Ignoring COVID for now, you are connecting at SFO in March and SFO is your first US destination so you have to clear immigration and customs there and then go through TSA. Please tell me you have allowed many hours for this. The only good news is that your flight arriving from Asia won’t be delayed...Jump to post
Both very strict indeed.
But again March 2022 is far from now maybe things will change?
Flight+cruise schedules have reappeared.
Hope everything returns to normal by then
This is dragging way too long

In Hong Kong we can choose between the China made Sinovac and the German made Biontech.
I prefer the German made Biontech. Shall I go for it? In general I am healthy though I drink from time to time. Just worried that I have some hidden health issues. LOL

HAHAHA! That's a good one.
Seriously CX could sustain HKG-YVR-HKG multiple daily but SQ couldn't even do weekly flights. What a shame. Can't they do 4 times weekly?
Heard that they did very well with YYZ but was forced to stop. Why?

Heard that they are planning on one. Will it become a reality?
Why don't they do something like HKG, ICN, KUL? Build an all new super airport and move everything into it.Jump to post
Which one will be bigger? Will Western Sydney Airport replace Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport? Or at least most international flights will move there?Jump to post
Wonder if DL will return to HKG, SIN. now you're just trolling us, right? 0.01% and 0.00%, respectively. DL's thing isn't ULH with the extremely rare exceptions, such as LAX-SYD. anything and everything east Asian not in reasonable (non-ULH) range from SEA/LAX is gonna get passed off to Korean or C...Jump to post

Perhaps CX will get all the widebodies while Hong Kong Express will get all the narrowbodies? Or a mixture of both? I think the simple answer is when there is enough traffic to warrant it. As to when that will be, who knows? They could end the slot waivers and see services resumed and new entrants immediately. From where? Demand has collapsed .... Well after covid 19 eventually demand will pick up again. The exp...Jump to post
