Re: Updated: DL retired MD-80/90s quickly

Six years ago, I flew on a MD90 (N945DN) from ATL to ORD, and the flight back was on a MD88 (N983DL). It was an amazing experience being able to sit next to the engines on both flights and hearing the satisfying sound of them. I will most definitely miss these fantastic planes.

Now that Avianca is about to end JFK-SAP in a few weeks, I can see B6 adding this route to their network in the future and do good on it.

I wouldn't be surprised either, especially if it is due to the fact that demand might be affected because of the situation in Hong Kong.

Re: Central American Aviation Thread - 2019

Considering Maxs will be removed through August. DFW MGA probably falls into one of the category of "expendable, low profit, we can always return, so lets use the aircraft on a Max route" I don't think the Max 8 is suitable for DFW-MGA imo, if that's what you're trying to say. AA is best ...

Re: Central American Aviation Thread - 2019

Agree but with maxs being out, AA is shuffling aircraft around to fill in the holes. A likely scenario would be the 319 from DFW MGA went to something DFW - domestic that was a 738 with the 738 then moving to MIA to replace a max route...say to SDQ. Don't AA E175/E190 have the range for DFW-MGA? Ye...

Political situation on Nicaragua On June 1st, AA is set to end DFW-MGA flights. I wonder what could be the reason behind it. https://www.routesonline.com/news/38/airlineroute/284048/american-discontinues-dallas-managua-service-from-june-2019/ Oh okay, makes sense now. Re: United Airlines "Evolution" to Globe Livery released

In all honesty, United's new livery is alright to me. I was expecting more out of it though, but it satisfies imo. A little off topic, but I predict that CM might ultimately end up making a similar move with its livery like United did as well. They just might add some red to it in resemblance to the...

Re: Iraqi Airways to order A330neo or B777

I predict flights to ORD, IAH, and LAX could be started beside JFK or DTW, considering the presence of Iraqi communities there. Eh, no. JFK itself would be a stretch. Not a chance in hell they'd make DTW, ORD, or even LAX work, on ethnic travel alone. Carriers with far greater resources and larger ...

Very exciting! B6's new aircraft will open up all kinds of wonderful possibilities. The A220 might be the perfect aircraft for the likes of EYW, SBA, SNA, STS, STT and various ski markets. The A321s could open up all kinds of opportunities in South America and Europe! Imo, the A220 just might be th...

Re: Unconfirmed: DFW to build terminal F which’ll most likely be international

AA is already spending billions at LAX, ORD, CLT, and DCA. The airport already spent billions on TRIP and has endless airfield work to do. Pretty sure it's F and some lipstick on the pig that is C. You can't replace C until F exists anyway, and no one is going to spend tens of billions to reconfigu...

I flew on N945DN from ATL to ORD back in 2014. Re: F9 starting Tyler, TX (TYR)

This is a really bold move. I actually like it. TYR only has AA service to DFW, which is less than a 2 hour drive away and honestly probably not that useful. UA dropped it a few years ago. The Tyler metro area has a population of over 200,000 and TYR is an hour drive from the East suburbs of Dallas...
