Ahh boeing, the gift that keeps on giving.
So what processor is Boeing using for mcas?
8 bit, 16 bit, 32 bit?
When was the last time there was a positive news story came out about Max 737? Despite all the investment and money behind this plane Has anybody actually got anything good to say about the design or the plane? Being honest - it's the ultimate white elephant. It's a liability for Boeing rather than...
Jump to postBoeing tried to fly under the radar with Max 8 737 . Finally exposed. If they think that a software fix can fix the real issue, then they must be dillusional. Software suggests a temporary fix for a much wider bigger hardware problem. Sadly, I see more lives being lost once this plane is airborne.

Boeing credibility has just left the room
What a shocking ceo they have.
Good luck to those applying.
Mod job is never easy.
Boeing's panacea is not merely a software fix but moreso a faa fix.
Jump to postWell there we go. 20% production cut back, most likely the first of many. If you read the Australian Aviation thread you would be aware of some of the safety concerns the ATSB raise when investigating safety related issues with airlines flying into the country. For example, there was an instance where a pilot engaged the auto pilot at 400ft above ground level almost cras...

Jump to postAirbus demise with the A380 has spectacularly exploded with the A320 to replace crippling orders for the 737 max series.
Win win!
Boeing is not going to have a good 2019. Boeing’s grounded airliners are likely to be parked longer now that European and Canadian regulators plan to conduct their own reviews of changes the company is making after two of the jets crashed. The Europeans and Canadians want to do more than simply take...

Garuda Indonesia is seeking to scrap its multi-billion dollar order for 49 Boeing 737 Max 8 jets after the plane was involved in two fatal crashes.
Why couldn't the mcas be fully turned off? It would seem MCAS was always intended to be hidden in the background. It can only be isolated by turning off electric trim. An 'MCAS ON/OFF' switch in the cockpit would have been rather a giveaway. With a competant system design/limited authority for MCAS...

Jump to postI have not read this thread since about ~30 pages in. Does anyone have the kindess in their heart to give me a quick tl;dr as to what we've learned in the past week? 1. Yes a deadhead saved a previous lionair flight with mcas fault but never told other 737 max pilots about this. 2. US pilots had po...
Jump to postAssuming that Boeing is found fully or partly responsbile for the death of the 346 people who have died in the crahes in a court of law, at what figures are we looking hypothetically? Jump to postThis stinks. So reports show a third pilot was required to avert disaster and fly the max 8 safely. If true, incompetence from Boeing at the highest level. Reading the comments here there are a few issues that need to be resolved and quickly. 1. The apparent collusion between FAA, Boeing and Trump. Obviously the politicisation of the grounding of this aircraft in the US was done in a way to show to the public a concern for safety but raises questions a...

It won't be long before lawyers will get a sniff and be asking for compensation for the airlines.
