Re: Philadelphia Aviation Thread - 2019

AF54 CDC- IAD A380 diverting to PHL due to weather I just saw flying turning for base. My goodness it's huge. Also do you get alerts for these diversions? I wish there was a way to get alerts for diversions. I luckily opened FlightRadar24 at the right time as it turned away from IAD and joined PHL ...

Re: Philadelphia Aviation Thread - 2019

Seems like AA is starting to rotate newer a321s into PHL instead of LUS aircraft. AA551,AA765,AA1657, AA566 have been using the newer jets since May 3rd.

So I see the b748 sitting near the deicing pad. Is PHL not able to support the b748 at the gate? The wingspan is only 14 feet longer than the 744. PHL.org has today's arrival coming to A6 which I do not believe is normal. Maybe the 748 can only park at a few gates and there is a gate occupancy issu...

This is N906NK seen here in February and ferried April 6, 2019 TLS-KEF-DTW. Was it still in that livery last Saturday?

N906NK was built in January 2018, but was stored after the engine issues with the Pratts at the time. The change to solid title must be new to 2019.

It could be anything. Some people on Twitter are suggesting it's the new United livery or a special livery for whatever airline.

I agree the Air Italy livery isn't old and is not up for replacement yet.

But if you look at it, it’s a 8 MAX, United only has orders for the 9 and 10.

New Air Italy Livery??

Looks like an unknown b737 MAX rolled out of final assembly at Renton. The small portion of the livery on the rudder has similar colors to Air Italy and the winglet color is exactly the same. I know currently at Paine, Air Italy has 2 MAXs stored in a white wrapping. https://twitter.com/aeroimagesch...
