Fair point re the soft nose, Jehan, but what would have happened had the nose area been sufficiently sharp, given that the sky in Royal's photo is no more distracting than in Andrew's latest beach shots? Surely it would have to be pretty distracting to warrant a rejection? Karl The banding in Royal...Jump to post
Just read through this thread and a lot of weird speculation and planning that is far from factual. Moving rental car lots to the to the closed Computer store and Toys R Us. The computer store is now a Raymour and Flanagin outlet store. The Toys R Us has been converted into a Floor and Decor. Constr...Jump to post
10, 11, 12 still have some seating, not nearly as much as when WN was at 10 and AC in 11 and 12, but there is at least something there. No more workstations for the gate agent at any of those three gates. They've seen their final aircraft operations. Had no idea B6 used A15 at all... can it be while...Jump to post
Delta is sharing B1 with NK right now. I do think NK on B1 has allowed them to grow nicely as they have a bit more space in that WN area. I'll be back in A1 on Friday when I return from my quick trip. Trying out F9 for the first time tomorrow; will be my first trip on them and my first trip through ...Jump to post
Air canada did take over the A14 and A15. Flew in on 11/16 to see their signage etc. Rumor has it b6 will get a fifth gate at EWR which they could definitely utilize. They do a lot of shuffling with their operation on the current four gate setup. Add in one weather delay or mechanical delay and it h...Jump to post
Any idea on what the gate lease situation look like for Terminal 1? While I personally like to see B6 get as many gates as possible, I really just want to see any other domestic carriers that care to expand (like NK or F9) get sufficient gates for expansion. I hate EWR being such a captive market. ...Jump to post
SFO gets everything but the 764 just a bit more variety than EWR. What route does the 763 fly on to SFO? Or the 737-700? I was going to say, SFO doesnt get the the 763 or 764 anymore. No 737-700 either. I think SFO and EWR are the only 2 airports that see the most varients. EWR right now does not g...Jump to post
Just flew home today on N594JB (B6 2028) and it was my first experience with the Phase 2. I will say the overall product is amazing and I was very impressed. The streaming worked pretty well with few slight pauses in the movie I watched. The wifi was problematic though. Flight stayed over land throu...Jump to post

Any additional updates on the stranded planes. Seems like the 320s make sense at Spirit. Makes me wonder if Delta or Frontier will want to jump on any and if Air Canada is interested in picking up a few more for their update or expand321 fleet.
TF-CAT still at EWR.
I'm really interested to see how quickly they will be cycling through the pain shop for the new livery. In spotting at EWR lately there seems that there are a lot of overdue aircraft. N210UA, N36272, N39297, N17104 all have a lot of peeling going on right now.Jump to post
How much slack is there in the widebody fleet next summer? There is some slack in certain fleets. It also depends on how many 767s and 777s will be out of action for Polaris mods. Using the fleet allocation diagram loaded to the UA Network thread as a reference, along with currently loaded schedule...Jump to post
Latest round of pictures that went through and it seems like a screener has a preference for OS because everything of mine got hit for Soft. The 321LR will be deployed primarily for BOS-Eastern Europe (should have the legs to do that) and then out of FLL. The big goal at the south terminal is to allow B6 the room to grow. Right now at Airside 1 they are pretty restrained with a majority of their flights out 1-9 and occasionally seeing so...Jump to post

Thanks for the replies. These two out of eleven total screened got hit. AA 175 soft/low contrast: http://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/airliners/9/5/8/4929859.jpg?v=v434476d9a38 - disagree with the contrast as it is another snow reflection so the only true black is the gear and those seem appropriate...Jump to post

Wasn't at JFK today but I have seen them change runway configurations in the past and it is quite impressive how they do it without skipping a beat and make it where you don't skip a beat. I'd overall call that a harsh centering rejection. It's one of those that comes down to a few pixels which should really be accepted. I agree with the comment on LA one. That was severely off and makes you wonder if something like that is allowed in, why does an image like this get rejected.Jump to post
I really do not know much about the 757-300. In fact I think I’ve only ever been on one a couple of times. I don’t think they are ever at EWR. I’ve seen plenty and they are remarkably long! There used to be a few 753s at EWR a few years ago (even after the merger). The last daily one I recall seein...Jump to post
I know it was mentioned going into VCV early in January for paint, but nothing said about how N66848 emerged from the paint shop. It sadly is back in regular colors. Jehan, Thanks for that quick response. For the delta you screened, the category just got me a bit for a nose decal. I can try selective on the nose. Don't really want to touch the decal as that will easily result in an OS with the fine lines. Nice that you don't outright reject for a category reject...Jump to post

Thanks Kas! I prefer the 16:9 ratio for editing as it keeps a lot of dead sky space out of the frame. Unfortunately it has led to some aircraft shots that have these instances. A319s (especially with sharklet), B763 with singlet, and a few others will have this tall wing. You back my point perfectly...Jump to post
