Gonna miss the Mad Dogs. Not me. I've been seated next to the engines. I hate not being able to relax on a flight. I avoid booking them due to the risk of only having those seats available. Lightsaber You and me, both! I may be wrong about the DC/MD models I'm complaining about, but, that constant,...Jump to post
Hm. Maybe some Mad Dog memorobilia involved!Jump to post
Quoting e38 "however as some pilots leave prior to all the passengers deplaning". I think of it as "Well, those guys took off like an empty 777." (if you haven't seen it, believe me.Jump to post
Nice. Plenty of points to Boeing for class.Jump to post
Right. If you could get fast enough to make multiple passes on a house for instance, could it help? Also... are there any potential legal ramifications that could arise from doing this? We have enough problems with drones curtailing firefighting activities, we don't need inexperienced pilots that a...Jump to post
Here's a dumb question for you. Is it possible that if there was a fire near an area where a glider was flying (assuming this glider has water ballast) the glider pilot, being a Good Samaritan, could fly over and drop his load of ballast, and (assuming the field was near by) get back to the field?Jump to post
If I can share my go arounds: 1. BWI-ORD, it was snowing, there was a storm and we were told when we landed at the 2nd attempt we were lucky as otherwise we were off to Peoria if we didn't make it then.... 2. SCL-SYD, and this is my fav. Chile is not known for punctuality but in this case, in some ...Jump to post
I know it sounds absurd, but what happens to American Airlines if the economy goes south and people stop putting big spending on their AA credit cards? After all the financial reports are pretty clear that AA is being propped up by AAdvantage. No competitive advantage, a strong reliance on business...Jump to post

In pmUA days flights in the 800 series were transpacific & 900 series were transatlantic but for the most part domestic flights were whatever was available in a particular range of flights. There are a few easter eggs out there that are not so random: UA500 IND-SFO UA777 LAS-DEN UA1776 IAH-PHL ...Jump to post
Mods, feel free to merge with the All Hands thread but I thought this was interesting, a little blurb in a boarding area article that said Blue is interested in widebodies, the A330 or B787 if London is a success. That is very interesting and they obviously must feel success is a lock and that they...Jump to post
Hi all. Was just looking at planefinder.com, and I found this. https://planefinder.net/flight/DAL737
The flight, DL737 is OPERATED BY AN A320!!
Does anyone know if this is an inside joke?
I’ve just seen Etihad A-380 (A6-APJ) from Abu Dhabi nonstop to New York/JFK turn around just after passing Iceland . What’s the reason why ? Medical would have rerouted to KEF and it was only 3:30 from JFK so why fly 2 hours to MAN instead ???? If the field can't handle an A380, they won't go there...Jump to post
