Would the airlines participating in CRAF/activated by CRAF need to fly in an additional set of cockpit/cabin crew? Obviously, they can't overnight in a hotel in Kabul once they time out.

I noticed 2 different voices from the crew of 810.

Considering the Swiss Air Force have flown the wings off their F-18s before the airframes timed out on their cycle count, will they be doing the same to the F-35As, as they will have limited actual flight time (most time spent on the sims)?

Just like the F-111, you are carrying extra weight of the swing wing mechanism just to attain the supersonic efficiency that you rarely need. All the extra weight would better go into more fuel and payload. bt To be fair though, the F-111 benefitted tremendously from the swing wing at low altitude ...

Isn't this the same logic of carrier based fighters with foldable wings, just on a smaller scale? E.g the Super Hornet. Extended in flight and folded on the deck/in the hangar.
