"Why doesn't the CAA employ Monarch or instruct Ryanair to employ Monarch to fill in the Ryanair UK winter schedule gaps out of Stansted and Send Qatar back to Doha ? At least they'd be supporting a 'G' registered airline, or is that not important ?" Because Ryanair doesn't give a toss abo...
Jump to postAB needs to close and launch again without legacy hangover of LTU and AB. Some crews don't even have aircraft at their "base". Can't do this or that due to Union rules. Fine if your making money but if not it's back to basics. And guess what if it did fail, the Pilots will get jobs - might...
Jump to postBest trip I've read for a while. Flew 1-11, Trident, Concorde never got on a Caravelle (well apart from in the hold on a Handling strike in LGW) and dreamed for a VC10
Thanks for posting Andy
Cargo operators prefer the 757 for a simple reason - cost. There are plenty of 767-200's around but they prefer 767-300's so they can cover long haul also. The market for 757's is pretty competitive its going to be a difficult aircraft to replace in 10 years time
Jump to postGreat report. Always wonder why Punters eat at 0200 in the morning - for me some shut eye!
Jump to postMarius Ideally you need a car. At the airport is very difficult. On the road out of Marseille past Airbus Helicopters take a right spur (it comes on quick so be ready) But then be even more ready to pull in to the verge on the right. That's enough to put me off that spot!
I might plan a trip for April its the number one on my bucket list
Quiet a few TUI aircraft have advertising branding these days in Germany anyway. Easy will wait and pick up the pieces, either business or crews if they jump.
Lets hope for a positive outcome for MON and Staff.
I once flew into DOH from Manchester. You turn left to enter Doha and right to transit. I was the only one to turn left!
Jump to postStrong rumours going around at moment that Monarch are cease operations, their is a United 747-400 at PMI right now that will operate many flights from Spanish destinations back to the UK this week starting tomorrow to BHX. Jump to postIts a bit like Sabena crew being on strike when the airline folded.
AF striking on terms and conditions - they need to get real. Close the airline down and start again!!!
I flew into JED recently from LHR on SV777. Great flight only 5.40hrs! Getting through immigration was another matter however.
