the large 15.6" screen that I used for NH PE wasn't that hot (when I was using the touchscreen). maybe 720p/1080p?

I've felt worse (heat-wise) IFE in economy on older airplanes.

Re: 4K IFE arrives mid-2020 (NH and LH)

As for "title is incorrect", . 4K IFE arrives mid-2020 (NH and LH) was taking more about the title of this thread... 4K arrived in 2019 since NH has planes flying around with 4K I saw the article mentioned a lack of true 4K content. Was there any indication within the system if something ...

Re: 4K IFE arrives mid-2020 (NH and LH)

title is incorrect.. per article, NH's new 777-300ER retrofitted planes (~Aug 2019) are already flying with 42" 4K in first class and 24" 4K in business i did sample the 15.6" touchscreen in NH 787-10 PE (which is the same PE seat/screen in NH 777-300ER retrofit). wished more screens ...

Re: Lots of delays and cancellations at Amsterdam due to fuel supply failure

What strikes me about this occurrence is that there is apparently no back-up system that could (at least) provide some fuel. I believe they do have some fuel trucks (for remote stands), but it really depends where the fuel system broke Reminds me of the fuel pipeline issue at Auckland airport in 20...

Re: History of UA at JFK

Obviously, UA does not serve JFK anymore, but I know they once had quite a sizable operation. There are actually some foreign Star Alliance carriers that serve JFK but not EWR such as NH, OZ, AV, LR, SN, CM, MS, BR, SA, and TR. However, UA already serves NH's NRT hub, . UA will start EWR-HND soon a...

Related, AA flew from continental USA to Hawaii with a non-ETOPS plane (they found out halfway and decided to continue trip). Plane was ferried back to mainland

Re: Is DL under serving JFK/SFO business?

Just tried to book again and now I see biz seats available... (13 Oct - 17 Oct) Were they just blocking them? (I searched on Delta.com and Google Flights) Always book with the carrier, never with Google. It's impossible to book with Google. Google Flights is a search engine which, once you select a...

Re: Printed Airline Timetables

For awhile you could get PDF schedules online too - most of those are long gone. It's fun to look at the old OAG/ABC timetable editions to relive those days .. :-) AC still produce a PDF timetable. I wish WestJet would do the same. https://www.westjet.com/en-ca/book-trip/direct-flights/index Westje...

Re: Printed Airline Timetables

some still provide a (electronic) schedule. UA (widebody on cargo website): https://www.unitedcargo.com/ShowFiles?filePath=/homelinkpdfs/WB-April_2019.pdf Delta: https://www.delta.com/content/dam/delta-www/pdfs/flight_schedules.pdf ANA, pretty detailed: https://www.ana.co.jp/en/us/book-plan/airinfo/...
