The Tampa airport website states that service to London started in 1985 and that British Airways has connected Tampa Bay to London since for over 30 years. Service to LGW just resumed this week and will increase to 6 times weekly by the end of December.

My 3 primary reward earners are AA Advantage, Hilton and BOA Royal Caribbean VISA.
Second is WN and DL for airlines, and various other hotel brands but I have status w/Hilton and Royal Caribbean and favor their brands.
Tertiary is Amtrak.

AA does permit a personal item and one carry-on. Review the basic economy rules/restrictions on the AA website under the Travel Information and Travel Experience links. And you can then go back and correct yourself to friends and family.
