GRU-FRA-BKK-SYD-AKL-ZQN-AKL-EZE-GRU back in 2004.
Flew RG, LH, TG, NZ and AR.
Unforgettable journey!
Of course it is. It was created for promotional purposes. Actual flagship for LATAM Brazil is an A321neo, PR-XBG, recently delivered to LA (02JAN). https://i.postimg.cc/9fp6VWtD/GDhp3y-ZW0-AAYy12.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GDhp3yZW0AAYy12 Way better than the original livery.

I know that on start-up, STAR alliance required each airline member to have an aircraft in the STAR livery with the STAR logo on the tail. SQ being SQ did the STAR Alliance on the fuselage but stuck their own logo on the tail. Not exactly playing by the rules but they got away with it. This was ear...
Jump to postLooks like ITA 1st A330Neo is already on duty just two days after delivery.
Currently enroute to GRU:

Looks like Eva Air didn't even scratch while Thai had half of its winglet removed.
Can the 787-10 really replace the 77W? That is a big difference in lift. Too bad LATAM didn't keep the A350 order, I believe they had A35Ks on order, which would have been a perfect replacement.. I think they will order some more 787s but probably keep the 77Ws until they decide on a proper replace...
Jump to postVarig also used its 747 fleet for the notorious GIG-GRU-JNB-BKK-HKG back in the days.
FCO has seen RG's 747 for a while also.
Can someone please explain us not locals why is this such a special event?
Jump to postSame to daily services PTY-GRU.
2 of the services departs 5 minutes apart.
I also don't get the logic of it.
Looks like Brazil will have a direct service to Cairo-Egypt.

Awesome!
Been to Egypt once via Istambul.
What an amazing country with amazing people.
Maybe this helps me to go back again.
Any info on the plane to be used?
I assume 77W. Can their 789 do that looong flight?
Not bad IMO.
Many will not even notice it though.
Let's see the real thing now.
That's a good excuse to help Ukranian folks.
Jump to postI heard somewhere LatAm is planning to reinstate GRU-LAX service with own metal. Last time route was flown was with AA pre-pandemic after a long hiatus since KE and JL ended up the leg after 9/11. Can anyone confirm? If true, this will be the return of a Brazilian airline with direct services to LAX...

One big change Azul did in the Brazil market is Azul Conecta, which has been flying with the Azul brand for two years. None of the NA bound daily nighttime flights have departed yet.
An average of over 3 hours delay (as of now).
BTW, tonight's UA845 ORD-GRU has returned to ORD after about 1h in the air. Related?
No help from AA GRU maintenance base in the plans?
Quite a quick ride to EZE.
To this the A300 is for me the most beautiful flying thing ever conceived. Happy Birthday sexy lady!

Yes, the likes of China and Argentina would probably be in their right to reject a foreign-owned ITA as an "Italian" carrier, if they do insist on ownership being a deciding factor in airline "nationality". However, impossible is nothing. Look at KLM being a Dutch carrier, for b...
