It will be interesting to see what the DOJ thinks, but I don't this should be approved. This an Allegiant's business move to outsource extra capacity on the winter. Viva adds a ton of cheap labor and new frames to Allegiant but Allegiant doesn't add anything to Viva.

Yesterday, we had a Delta 772 doing LAX-SLC substituting the usual 752. How often are Delta 772 seen in SLC? If I'm not mistaken DL only has regular widebody flights with A332 and 763, right?

Again, this happens at airports all over the world. My parents waited an hour for a stand at LHR. The point is, although it's important to us on an aviation forum, a slightly bigger airport will not substantially help most Mexicans. It is already the 15th busiest airport in the world by departures....

That all makes lots of sense. Except for one thing. TLC did manage to handle an excess of 4 M tourists in 2008, so it worked at a +70% LF, showing that it can be work at higher rates than present when proper conditions are given, and not the lame 270k that it got from Jan to Nov 2019 (4.5% yield). ...
