I see that a Southwest max 8 N8703J is up and flying. Is it still Boeing tests or some kind of certification flights? It feels like the Boeing mcas tests should be done.
edit: im not good with flightradar but it seems its testing mcas.
10 years back or so Cathay Pacific had a seat that didn’t affect other passengers when you reclined it only affected your own legroom, I thought that was a nice solution.Jump to post
Well the max was a big misstanke thats clear, a new aircraft would have been in the air earlier.Jump to post
A 737-9 is on the way from Moses lake to BFI. Could it be because they want a 9 also as test plane or is it going for some kind of checkup after long storage?Jump to post
The question is what you get first 320 or 737. We have no Idea when the max is back in the air, Airbus can at least give a delivery time.Jump to post
I might be one of the few but I love the 777 and I really look forward to fly on the 777x.
I always try to choose a seat just in front of wing where I can see the huge GE engine and the wing.
787 have the sexiest wing on the market so far but I hope a fully loaded 777x will flex her wings a lot too.
They Will after an hour or so, same with flaps.

777-9 426pax in 2 glass 13500km 787-9 296pax 13950km 787-10 336pax 11750km The size difference is big. Time Will tell If Airlines think they need the size or not when we see the sales numbers over time. Whats the purpose of having the 777 and 787 lines? They are pretty similar in size/mission, no? I dont think the max will fly again, i even think it might make Boeing go bancrupt either soon because of all they have to pay because of the max or after some years when they dont have Money for badly needed new models and cant compete with Airbus anymore. If i was sitting in around the table of in...Jump to post
Hi Qatar ask to send card details and passport picture after a booking is made and payment went through. Is this a Qatar thing or something other company’s also do? When he (my brothers booking) called support they said send it or you loose both tickets and money. I never experienced this and I fly ...Jump to post
The longer this takes the more I think the MAX will never fly again, or fly again with a new certificate and aerodynamic changes.
Boeing’s problem seems to be that the plane needs to be safe without MCAS also.
Wouldn’t it be more logical for Emirates to take the -10 instead of -9? Seems to me it cover a lot of their routes including all Europe and they can use A350/777x for the longer routes. Or does the heat in Dubai make the capacity much lower?Jump to post
I fly with them every year and as a foreigner you just pay a little extra to get a good seat, for Filipinos it’s not a problem with the cramped seating since most of them are small.Jump to post
I think Boeing shut down the line because they know that this will take a long time.
Maybe they have to redesign the plane to make it possible to certified it without MCAS.
I doubt it’s back in service first half of 2020.
