Re: A220 in Europe’s Airlines strategy

Anyone got some numbers that may give some idea on just how ahead the 223 is in terms of lower operating costs vs 31N or 7M7? Must be some pretty good numbers that despite the lower range and being a completely new fleet, it's the best seller in its category. Some article (simpleflying for this ins...

During the MAX fiasco Boeing was "mandated" by the FAA to "hold their piece in the public domain", so the proper question is why does the FAA believe that the public should know nothing about where they are with the 777-X program, is it to rebuild confidence in the capabilities ...

Re: Boeing and Airbus in discussions with Spirit Aerosystems About Buying Spirit or Parts of it

Airbus needs those parts, so they can't play hardball too much. Spirit is losing money on a number of Airbus supplier contracts, per reports, so Boeing likely won't be playing hardball, either. I'd say Airbus needs the parts but not the factories, or as a minimum, Airbus is in no rush of taking ove...

Kirby's visit to France was fairly well-publicised, but I think this is the first time I've seen an order for 200 mentioned. A350 backlog shifting towards A350-1000/F

I was going through the orders and deliveries sheet of 2023 and noticed that the A350 backlog is shifting. Previously the A350-900 was always 70-80% of the orders/backlog. As landing gear and wings are the same for the A350-1000 and Freigther I am counting them as 1 variant. As of 29 Februari ~37% (...

No - they had at least that much FCF in those years and with program accounting it gets very weird.
