Re: American Airlines Network Thread - 2020

This market was addressed in the AA/B6 announcement. B6 now gives AA coach flyers a product to use. If the demand for premium travel wanes I can see AA reconfiguring their 321Ts possibly reducing the J cabin. Or maybe just handing over the premium market to Mint. While Hollywood A li...

Re: TSA Screening Numbers - Charts and Comparisons

Someone upstream said cancellations are now outpacing new bookings and IF that is true I'm not certainly surprised. I think the airlines will need to go back and replan/reset/refigure a lot of items from routes to the number of workers they will need to downsize by. And does anyone realistically th...

Re: AA goes after credit card churners in DOT complaint proceeding

What did they do that was illegals? Not illegal, but violated the AA terms & conditions for their mileage program. They gamed the system to get more bonus miles (MILLIONS OF THEM) from multiple credit card sign-ups (sign up, spend, close after bonus, repeat) than they were allowed to have by AA...

The title is very misleading. I thought you were referring to a very old accident back when it was called US Air. Please correct that. Also, US had been US Airways for more than a decade by the time of 1549. no need to be pedantic about whether US was USAir or USAirways at the time of the accident....

Also the more I think about it, EWR-MYR with 3x daily from NK and 3x weekly from F9 is going to be flying very empty. As a comparison, ACK, a much more popular destination for New Yorkers, is only getting 1 middle seat capped E90 a day in July. Cheap fares from F9 and NK can stimulate demand to MYR...

This is the same nonsense as looking at political outcomes by land area - votes matter, not acreage . Cases and deaths matter - not the unpopulated areas with few cases just because few people live there. In the COVID-19 pandemic, greater population density has routinely led to higher rates of infe...
