Re: AA & B6 announce Northeast Partnership

Delta clearly is shaking in their boots and I doubt this will be entertained. Perhaps the days of them being the industry bully are over.

Re: AA & B6 announce Northeast Partnership

Sounds familiar to CO joining UA *A and partnership in late 2008 to only announce a merger two years later in 2010.

I expect a similar result, in time, between AA and B6.

Is a merger inevitable between JetBlue and Alaska?

Part 1 of 3 of this assertion. It seems like 6 months ago, I would have laughed at this... but COVID has changed a lot. With both carriers getting closer to AA I could see this happening now. Thoughts? https://captainjetson.com/featured/is-a-merger-inevitable-between-alaska-and-jetblue-part-1-of-3/?...

Re: AA & B6 announce Northeast Partnership

So I understand both airlines are currently saying this is NOT a merger. That is the logical thing to do to get closer and begin brand association while obtaining regulatory approval. But for those of you who have been watching the industry for some time now... what probability would you put on AA &...

Re: Delta plans to emerge a "smaller" carrier

Apparently the FAs were told that Delta plans to exit a number of their European stations permanently. The specific locations were not revealed, and no I don’t have a link to confirm what the FAs were told. But given that it was revealed en masse, somebody will likely be able to source that quote s...

Due to UA's perceived narrowbody shortage relative to its peers... which airline would UA likely attempt to acquire/merge to remedy the lack of narrowbody frames? Perhaps NK? In the process eliminating an annoying industry competitor while acquiring their new aircraft and order book?

Re: Boeing CEO: A major US airline likely will go out of business this year,

How about...a Merger is more likely to happen. I don't think a MAJOR or at least the Big three will have trouble getting through this. but a Merger is likely to happen especially with all of them shrinking to half their size. Spirit/jet blue? alaska/southwest? american/united? delta/qatar?....ok th...

Re: Boeing CEO: A major US airline likely will go out of business this year,

I am predicting a Frontier/Spirit merger and AA really shrinking more than any of the others. Maybe UA may also file for Chapter 11 along with AA. DL and WN seem to be decently strong. I am not sure of the smaller ones, maybe Allegiant will shut down or merge. Not sure about JetBlue. It seems to be...

With B6's recent pulldown in LGB, essentially eliminating its only West Coast base and Alaska focusing on their strengths on the West Coast.... In regards to a number 6 acquisition by AS... as has been the ongoing speculation here... I really do not feel B6 would be the first “mainline” on their target for the consolidation wet dream many seem to have on here. But heck what does one really know or not know. I am a gate agent currently but was considering becoming a flight attendant for JetBlue.

What are your opinions of the likelihood of them being involved in a m&a transaction. And if likely, with whom would it be most probable and how far out? Thanks in advance!
