I agree Airbus don't need those subsidies anymore, they have 55% of the backlog now. But the US gov also helps its industry. While EADS is virtually out of the competition on the US defense market, Greece, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland and Italy (to name some) are able to chose F16, JSF or B767 Tanke...
