Hello All, I was on Flightaware and noticed Continental Flight 1000 scheduled from Fort Lauderdale, (<acronym title="Fort Lauderdale - Hollywood International (FLL / KFLL), USA - Florida">FLL</acronym>) to Newark was diverted to Baltimore. Anyone know anything that happend with this flight? <a href=...
Jump to postI have been watching for any news from Skybus. Has anyone heard when they are going to announce their routes? Anyone know when they will begin to sell their tickets? Lastly, when will they have their 121 certificate? I know the DOT gave Skybus the <acronym title="CSA Czech Airlines">OK</acronym> to ...
Jump to postI highly doubt Delta places an order for 787's as quickly as everyone believes. I think if anything the next US airline to purchase them would be US Airways. If anything Delta will be the last to get the 787 because of their financial conditions. I believe Delta needs to wait and see how they do wit...

Jump to postI think this is great news, who they attract, I really don't know. I always have thought Dayton was an airport that could be a decent midwestern hub like in the days of Piedmont/US Air.
Who could they attract?
It is a reciever, not a transmitter. I have used them several times as a passenger. If you look in the inflight magazine for Continental and Southwest you will see they are approved electronic devices.
Jump to postIMO US Airways will fail at getting <acronym title="Philadelphia - International (PHL / KPHL), USA - Pennsylvania">PHL</acronym> to China Authority. I actually think US Airways could not handle another merger.. They have too much on their plate now. I do think it will be interesting to see what US Airways does for new planes at the end of next month.
I heard an ineresting rumor, US Airways is looking at Northwest. I heard this from a friend of a friend, who cousin works the ramp at Detroit, who heard it from a friend who works customer service at the Duluth, Minnesota station.
Just what I have heard.
The <acronym title="Taipei - Sung Shan (TSA / RCSS), Taiwan">TSA</acronym> is just another inept government agency. I find they are totally clueless for the most part. I deal with them on daily basis while at work. I find they are always trying to get close to the crews, sniffing for alcohal, they s...
Jump to postHas anyone heard any new news on US getting new Long Haul jets, and a date as to when it will happen. I really think PHL-China is a major stretch.
Jump to postI don't think you will ever see Southwest fly anything except one common fleet type. Maybe I am wrong. I do recall Southwest having a couple of 727's in the late 70's.
Jump to postI was on US Airways two weeks ago, non revving from Cincinnati because I could nto get a seat on my own airline. Jump to postI havea theory on US Airways. Jump to postI think that Gerry Grinstein should get a bonus. I believe his efforts and work saved Delta Air Lines. Jump to postI was wondering recently, what would happen if Cincinnati loses the hub? Will someone come in or will it end up forcing the flying public to connect? Jump to postI work with Delta and know the ompany philosphy of the company with never owning a four engined aircraft again, but for my money, with the way Delta is expanding, why not Delta? I would love to see a 747-800 going to South Africa, and Australia/New Zealand.
