I think BA should follow suit

Some of the older BA planes do have names, mostly pre-1997, with some exceptions. However, the name is not painted anymore.

Re: University Thesis Survey

I begaמ the survey but didn’t complete it. I got stuck on definitions... If I fly LAX-YVR-NRT-LAX, how many international flights is that? One or three? LAX-YVR-NRT-LAX counts as 3 segments, so 3 flights for the purpose of the survey. I couldn't use the word 'segment', which I would have preferred,...

Re: University Thesis Survey

Skytrax seriously? I agree. As soon as skytrax was mentioned, I closed the window and opted out of the survey. That's something I can agree on, Skytrax is completely irrelevant. If anything, they're misleading. The airline which pays the highest bribe gets the highest rating, that's all it really m...

University Thesis Survey

Hey everyone! I am doing my final year at university and I have to write a thesis. The topic I am writing about is The Influence of Country-Of-Origin Effect, Certified Quality Rating, and Pricing on Consumer Decision Making in the Airline Industry. Iran refuses to hand over the black box of the Ukrainian plane to Boeing (Google will translate it as Pyongyang though) https://twitter.com/SkyNewsArabia_B/status/1214846503866568704 I think you are mistaken. Boeing has no right to the boxes, they can participate in the investigation as an observer...

Re: F50 Questions

It's interesting to see so much love and appreciation for the F50. I had to suffer flying Air Panama (7P) F50s couple of times ... They are noisy, old, unreliable, and uncomfortable. But I do wonder if that's just 7P's F50s problem, which got grounded for a couple of days few months ago after suffer...

Re: Copa Airlines and its Caribbean routes

Some people tend to forget that the majority of the passengers that use Copa are not staying in Panama City. Instead, they connect to another flight somewhere else. PTY brands itself as the 'Hub of the Americas' because it serves that purpose. That's pretty much the only reason for a big number of C...

Re: Why does luxair not hub?

Not all airlines need to enter the bloodbath by offering connections. Some airlines make their profit and do it well be serving their home market. Luxair and El Al are prime examples. Why fix what ain't broke? Well El Al is actually unprofitable and Luxair’s operating profit last year was 0.8 milli...

It is a beautiful cabin, but that is not Premium Economy. Great improvement compared to their current cabin. It would be the LATAM equivalent of AA Main Cabin Extra, DL Comfort +, and UA Economy Plus.

The Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) temporarily suspends flights of the Panamanian airline Air Panama, specifically its Fokker 50 fleet. This comes after two F50s had engine issues: HP-1606PST (Leaving PAC to DAV, landing in BLB instead) and HP-1793PST (Leading DAV to PAC, returning to DAV). https:/...
