Re: Why does the wings center of pressure moves aft with increasing mach number?

This old video has good wind tunnel footage. https://youtu.be/bELu-if5ckU Hello, I've watched your video when you posted your answer and now want to phrase a question. It's the same as before. Why does the Col move aft? I could refer to your images but I'm using Screenshots from the video. In the p...

Why does the wings center of pressure moves aft with increasing mach number?

Hello, I've been watching a video on mach tuck recently and wondered why does the cop (center of pressure) moves aft. I saw this video of 'ATPL theory' about high speed (and altitude) flight (link: https://youtu.be/_LYU03RErTU) and at 8:55 it says that 'as the mach number increases the effective air...

Why is there residual oil in a preserved or new engine?

I saw some videos on YouTube where a new (/preserved) engine starts and a fire ball and much smoke come out of the tailpipe. https://youtu.be/sNwG9vC5qnM https://youtu.be/ZEPhgZeZARI https://youtu.be/EDc8o_h-dn0 Below these videos some people explain that the engines are just burning residual oil ou...

Density altitude would work fine.

Not to quibble, but just for explanation. This chart is a runway required chart not a take-off distance chart. Take-off distance would be shorter.
Please explain yourself. Where's the difference?

Can't see the screenshot, I don't think you can embed images directly like that. Maybe try posting it on Imgur or something.

Use density altitude instead of pressure alt?

Hello community, for calculating the takeoff distance of the 757 (in my simulator) I have only one performance chart from Boeings website which shows the takeoff distances for my aircraft type (B752, PW2037 engines) as the to distances are not contained in the FCOM and I don't have an AFM for my spe...

Why is fuel drained?

Hello community, today I was reading a document which is giving a basic explanation of the systems of an engine (Link: https://www.faa.gov/aircraft/air_cert/design_approvals/engine_prop/media/engine_malf_famil.doc). And as a component of the fuel system of an aircraft engine fuel drains where listed...
