It will be interesting to see if DL adds this route with their buildup in MIA. Frontier is adding MIA and JetBlue, Southwest and Spirit all have service to FLL from AUS.

In Austin there was discussion about FAA height restrictions related to 6 X Guadalupe which is currently under construction. The building will be 65 stories and rise 848 feet. It was rumored to be taller but the FAA reduced the height.

I'd be astonished if IND gets a TPAC flight within the next 10 years. The decision makers will have to weigh losing 2-3 gates on each end if they go with the bridge option. It will boil down to what it costs to replace those gates versus the cost of a tunnel. 13 is a hardstand and not used. There are 33 gates at the BJT and 3 hardstand gates at the ST for a total of 36. Hard to imagine that the airport with exceed 17m passengers this year with only 36 gates.

NK has been using gate 11 exclusively for the past couple of weeks and CUTE 5. They were using CUTE 6 regularly but haven't the last couple of weeks.

So DL only has 4 gates leased in the new expansion plus the use of the CUTE gates. Looks like DL has no plans to expand AUS service.
