Good day,
just came across a picture of an Alim Airlines IL62 rotting away at Cairo Airport. Does anybody know if the airline ever flew? They had two more IL62s which apparently never made it beyond pre-delivery in Tashkent. Any info is more than welcome.

It´s probably sad but true: tiny Uruguay does not need its own airline. It´s a matter of national pride maybe but not a sound business case. What exactly is going to be the upside for European carriers here? Unlimited access to Qatar´s airports? I seriously hope this deal doesn´t go through. While this may be good for consumers, I see hundreds and thousands of airline jobs under threat in Europe.

we made it here. Flight was diverted to LAS because of the weather in SAN initially. Go-aroumd there was because of crosswinds. Looking forward to some happy spotting tomorrow. Thanks for your ideas!

I think secondary US markets is really the way to go for LH and I hope they can make this work and discover some new ones. This last friday, LH had their last flight to Caracas. Just came across this picture of the captain holding a Venezuelan flag out of the cockpit window. What a nice gesture. Thanks for your insights. I wasn´t sure about the actual driving time between the two cities but a floatplane service between Vancouver Harbour and Lake Union doesn´t seem to make a lot of sense having to install customs, immigration etc.

I had a very pleasant flight with their MA-60 in February, flight left perfectly on time, absolutely no complaints. The only sign of an A320 coming in was a poster with future routes and an A320 on it hanging in their ticket office in Phnom Penh Airport.

They are absolutely not partners. LH offers domestic connections to Condor flights, that´s pretty much it. Other than that, LH is eating into Condor´s markets quite aggressively lately.
