Hello, maybe somebody has had this. I am trying to book a flight on GOL (domestic in Brazil). They ask me for a CFP which is the Brazilian tax number but I can avoid that by putting that I am an international passenger. Then they ask me for a CEP (the ZIP code). I have tried everything, imagine one ...Jump to post
One of the more "remarkable" posts in recent weeks.... It seems like a rather useless question, doesn´t it?Jump to post
What they don´t tell the audience is that these reductions save LH one flight attendant on many flights.Jump to post
I flew the 787 on maybe 10 different operators and try to avoid it when I can. Cheap plastic resembling a Chinese car, very poor quality indeed. Don´t know why Boeing went that way on what could be such a nice aircraft otherwise and seems to be super efficient. Not to speak of the horrible electric ...Jump to post
This has been done in Germany for a while. Saarbrücken is one of the airports with a remote tower (run from Leipzig).Jump to post
Good morning all, just read an interesting article about "Silent Airports", which seems to become a global trend. Less announcements and thus less noise pollution for passengers. I have found this very pleasant at Helsinki Airport recently and would hope for more and more airports to adopt...Jump to post
It´s a big issue - and it´s getting worse. No matter what mode of transport you travel on, train, plane, bus, there is always somebody watching their videos or doing their phonecalls at the highest volume level you could imagine. Crying breakup conversations to business conference calls. Anything. E...Jump to post
I landed at Kiev Borispol Airport yesterday and was surprised to see six (maybe there were more) El Al aircraft parked there, including four 777s. Does anyone know the reason? I couldn´t find any particular event taking place and am just asking out of curiosity.
Good day, just came across a picture of an Alim Airlines IL62 rotting away at Cairo Airport. Does anybody know if the airline ever flew? They had two more IL62s which apparently never made it beyond pre-delivery in Tashkent. From what I read, they intended to operate domestically within Egypt, at le...Jump to post

It´s probably sad but true: tiny Uruguay does not need its own airline. It´s a matter of national pride maybe but not a sound business case. Airlines like Aerolíneas, GOL and others will make sure that Montevideo and Punta del Este get connected to other places in the region and that´s that. I have ...Jump to post
I am sure there will be a lot of lobbying by EU airlines and as somebody employed by one, I sure hope so! Why would any EU airline want to open a hub in DOH, a tiny local market?Jump to post
Halifax - Frankfurt seems like a good opportunity for AC, even if it´s only during the summer months.Jump to post
What exactly is going to be the upside for European carriers here? Unlimited access to Qatar´s airports? I seriously hope this deal doesn´t go through. While this may be good for consumers, I see hundreds and thousands of airline jobs under threat in Europe.Jump to post
Maybe somebody cares to correct the spelling in the thread opener?Jump to post
very soon, the fantastic-looking A380 will be delivered to ANA. Does anybody know if there will be route proving flights inside the country or to regional destinations before it flies to Honolulu?
Any bits of information are most welcome!
Just a reminder for those reading the post here, Condor has for a long time not been part of the Lufthansa Group. Back in the day, they may have been the airline to "test the waters" for the entire group, but that is no longer the case. It has happened a few times in recent years that Cond...Jump to post
Another question from me: is there an airside connection between T1 and T2? Can passengers connect from, say, a Southwest flight arriving in T1 to a Delta flight operating from T2, without clearing TSA once more? I understand from what I read in this thread that even within T1 sometimes they have to...Jump to post
Hello you lucky people in sunny San Diego, I am just doing a bit of research on San Diego´s international routes. Do I remember correctly that BA operated to LHR via Las Vegas in the past? When was it switched to non-stop service? Also, what do you think would be the most likely future international...Jump to post
Hi Folks, I know this does not really belong here. I am a Lufthansa flight attendant about to leave on the flight to SAN. Would like to do some planespotting or picture taking at SAN over the next few days, during my layover. Where would you recommend I go? Anybody cares to join! Greetings and watch...Jump to post
Maybe some of our Korean users can help here? I was trying to fly on Korea Express Air a few days ago, apparently flying two E145s from Yangyang Airport to Busan (among others). But their counter at Busan Airport seemed to be permanently closed, no aircraft in sight at the scheduled departure time (...Jump to post
Hello, all you experts out there! I am doing some research about the Gippsland GA8 Airvan, a quite peculiar aircraft that I would like to fly again after two flights with it. The only European operator to my knowledge is OFD, based in Emden / Germany. There was a small Dutch airline called Kammair f...Jump to post
Good day, as a regular Cape Town visitor I was wondering if there ever was a direct flight to the US. There is always a good number of Americans in town and while I know it would be a very long flight, I think something like Atlanta would be doable and probably also work quite nicely for the airline...Jump to post
I think secondary US markets is really the way to go for LH and I hope they can make this work and discover some new ones. By the way, the flights are operated by LH Cityline cockpit crews but LH mainline cabin crews. Just having flown in one, I can say that the A340-300s are really in good conditio...Jump to post
Very interesting topic indeed. I have been doing some research about the airport for an article and it is quite remarkable that the airport is hugely successful in recent years in attracting low-cost traffic but for legacy carriers, it just doesn´t seem to work. Well, I guess the answer for all four...Jump to post
This last friday, LH had their last flight to Caracas. Just came across this picture of the captain holding a Venezuelan flag out of the cockpit window. What a nice gesture. As somebody who has enjoyed the flights there working as crew, I hope things get better there soon and flights can be resumed....Jump to post
Good day, I was just visiting the Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre, what a fantastic place. What surprised me was that there are no flights from there to the US (Seattle would come to mind). It surprised me, as I thought that a downtown to downtown connection between Vancouver and Seattle would make ...Jump to post

Things are really getting out of control. I was at Wilson last year, stayed at the Aeroclub and took plenty of pictures openly, no problem at all. The same around the airport perimeter.
