Re: Red Wings SSJs -Return with an Amazing Livery

Literally some red wings on those birds! Cool livery indeed. Amazing! How many airline beside BEA (red wings) and Balair CTA (yellow wings) had wings painted other colors than grey? Transbrasil used to have colored wings. Each aircraft had a different color. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rhQL7N9hCOA/Te...

Re: Latam and Azul codeshare agreement in Brazil

Merger with Azul is not ruled out, says president of Latam. Cadier also admitted that a merger with Azul may even take place in the future. He explained that the negotiations for an eventual union of the two companies are complex and unfeasible at the moment because of the crisis, while the "c...

Re: Air Canada Embraer 190 Retired

There is also B6 (largest E90 operator) which is going to replace their 60 E90s with A220s. When you add their numbers to the ones of Air Canada and American Airlines you can see that a large number of E90s have been removed from service. By the way, Lufthansa CityLine and Montenegro Airlines have ...

Re: DL to permanently retire entire 777 fleet

Could Delta exchange their 77L for Latam current A350 fleet? I think it would be good for both airlines as this possible trade will streamline both fleets by eliminating a whole subfleet, as LA already operates 77W.

Re: Future of Star(*) Alliance?

What about new members? There are few airlines such as Azul and Philippine that would be a great increase in SA network. I can see AD very close to a membership as they are close ties with United, TAP, Copa and Avianca, even thought the latter is going bankruptcy, it’s still a SA member and I believ...

Re: DL to permanently retire entire 777 fleet

Obviously - officially “listed” range is one thing and real capability is another, but Airbus puts the 359 range at 8100nm. That covers LAX-SYD with ease. JNB on the other hand is 8450nm from ATL. Would be somewhat shocked if JNB isn’t back eventually in some form, supposedly printed money for year...

Re: DL to permanently retire entire 777 fleet

Certainly ATL-JNB and LAX-SYD will be operated by A350 as demand comes back. Philippine Airlines fly their JFK-MNL with the 359, witch is longer than both DL routes. Other airlines operates long sectors with A350, such as SAA, SIA with the non-ULR 359, QR, so I think it’s feasible that Delta will sw...

Re: Fate of Avianca Brasil's A318-122s?

AV is saying good-bye to its E190, so, all depending how AV would come out of this Covid-190 crisis, those A318 could replace E190 for some of its medium haul-haul routes. Perhaps those A318 might even have the range for GRU-SAL non-stop. AV is a large A320 family fleet airline, most of the time, f...
