RE: Failing A Check Ride

I was told in an "pre-interview" for a co-op position at a regional airline that failures aren't the end of the world. The person stated that even he failed a multi-engine checkride years ago but still got the job as a pilot. As long as you're honest, its okay. However, if you lie in an interview an...

As some have already stated, that is/was the core thrust reverser mechanism. Like those found on the early JT9Ds, they were deleted in later models, deactivated and/or removed in the early models. I have some drawings of the CF6-6 reverser on the DC-10-10 if you'd like (me to post).

I should add, that there is a pilot at my local airport, whom I was warned about with past instructors, especially when practicing in that pattern back in my Private days. One instructor said, and I quote, "watch out for that man/aircraft, he WILL try to kill you."

Do you have the security setting at high? It might be faster for reference, but I would not consider replacing paper (i.e., not taking any paper up with you) with it. For example, my university's fairly new Avidyne Entegra-equipped PA-28-201R has a digital Jepp chart database, can even fly the approaches, but the FAA makes it clear that a p...

Sorry to bring back a thread from the dead, but I reverted to FS9 (2004) about 2 weeks ago, and it is one of the best things I have ever done. I went from like 10 FPS (even at zero terrain, zero autogen, zero traffic, etc.) in FSX to 30FPS with everything set to max in FS9.

Not my car, but my mom had a 1997 Jaguar XJ6L. It was a beautiful car, its just too bad it was in the 'shop every 3 weeks.

Also, my dad had a 1990 Chevy S-10, and I remember that thing had constant problems with the electrical system and the transmission.
