Is there a known technical/engineering problem with the 777X causing this abnormal delay it obtaining the TIA? Otherwise you would think good project management (Boeing and FAA) should be able to identify testing milestones and to resolve whatever defects are identified and move through stage gates...

The BA order was for 18 A350-1000 firm orders, plus 18 options. So who knows, maybe BA will double its A350 fleet.

Look at all the TATL widebody frequencies, and for most 4,500 NM is fine. Buying everything for the edge cases is a foolish use of money. Look at comparisons as simple as A340-500 vs. A330-300 sales, or 77W vs. 777-200LR sales. So why was the 777-300 (non-ER) outsold by the 77W by a large margin?

What no-one seems to be speculating about is whether it is likely that all these aircraft will end up being delivered - it seems like a massive expansion for an airline that has traditionally struggled. I think I'd be very tempted to add at least half of them to the ASC606 list, but time will tell!...

Airbus seem to have mastered robotics on the A320 lines.

Boeing tried it on the 777 line but never got it to work.

The MAX 10 also needs to be retrofitted with the yet to be developed anti-ice fix. The modifications will also have to be put back into the already certified versions of the MAX: the -8, -8200 and -9. The biggest and more important question is how this affects the -10? The -7 is mostly the unwanted child of the family anyway.
