My flight was delayed 12 hours to SLC and I had checked bags and a connecting flight, which was missed and I had to wait until the following day for that flight. I happened to check the baggage office and I'm glad I did because they had no intention of getting my bags on any connecting flight. My ba...

Re: Is something actually beeing done about the howling issue on A220 and E2s?

On DLs A220s, in 4A you can feel it reverberate in your chest and it's to the point it hurts your ears. However, it is a great plane once in the air, but taxiing is actually to the point of annoyance. Agreed. I have only flown one A220, a 300 on B6. It isn't a cool sound, like a Mad Dog or a 757, i...

If you board a special plane/special livery, line up on the runway...and return to the gate for a mechanical problem, and eventually fly a different plane?

In your book, does it count?

Shortest mainline: EWR to BDL on a UA 737-700 - 141 miles. The pilots told us the total time in the air before we departed and I timed it. They were right on target to the minute.

Longest regional: BDL to MSP on a CRJ-900 (Endeavor/Delta Connection) - 1050 miles

It has to do with the very short flights and turn arounds, one of the 1st tier reads indicated, some were as short at 8 min flight, then a 10 -12 minute turn, outside of HNL many of the airports are small 12 gate affairs so very short taxi times. So it is climb/cruise for 5 min, descent & land ...

Engines for the Hawaii Hopper Flights

I've often seen the comments on here that the 717s at Hawaiian Airlines serve an important role and that other aircraft may struggle with the quick turns as hoppers. I've seen some brief discussion on the engines - the newer engines (NEO/MAX) require longer warm up or cool down times. I don't really...

From my experience, landing on that runway at Boston tends to be firm with hard braking and I'm assuming it might be due to it being one of the shorter runways at Boston.
